How is this Hotel Rated as 3-Star on MakeMyTrip?
I am shocked and extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this property which is somehow listed as a 3-star hotel on MakeMyTrip. My experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had, right from check-in to check-out.
Check-in Experience: I arrived early, which I understand cannot always guarantee a room, so I left my bag at the concierge and returned at 4:30 pm. That’s when the ordeal started.
Condition of the Room (Suite):
Stained sofas and curtains
Sticky floors and dirty bathroom
Broken doors
TV without a remote
Overall, the suite looked worse than a budget lodge. Only the reception area gives a good impression – the rooms are in a terrible state.
Service Issues:
No housekeeping response despite 3 reminders. Only after 45 minutes of waiting and personally going to the reception did someone attend.
Requested a bottle of water which took 45 minutes and 4 reminders to be delivered.
Hotel staff repeatedly mentioned they had only one housekeeping person and no maintenance support.
Manager Interaction: Even after calmly explaining the problems to the Manager, no improvements were made during my 3-day stay. It felt like guest comfort did not matter at all.
Overcharging for Basics: One regular bottle of Bisleri water was charged at ₹117.
Checkout Harassment: Despite the check-out time being listed as 12 pm on MakeMyTrip, I was rudely asked to leave at 10:45 am. When I pointed this out, the reception staff bluntly said “MakeMyTrip has the wrong time, you must leave by 11 am.”
This raises a serious question – how is this property rated and tagged as a 3-Star hotel on MakeMyTrip? The experience I had does not even justify a basic rating, let alone a star category.
I request MakeMyTrip to:
Revisit and re-verify this property’s star rating.
Audit the service standards and cleanliness.
Consider refund/compensation for the misleading listing and the substandard stay experience.
This experience has made me lose confidence in MakeMyTrip’s hotel ratings, which I trusted blindly...
Read moreIts definitely not worth the price. The room was very small and the bed too. The bed sheet was torn and stitched. I think the bed size is exactly 6 feet and half of the time my legs were hanging outside. The buffet in the morning was the only thing I liked apart from someone from the waiter came and made me notice that some thread is there in my idli (yes, I did not notice but he noticed and replaced it). But as I said, nothing else of the hotel seems to be a 4 star. I think the only advantage the hotel has is its location in the city. The bathroom shower is separated by a plastic sheet (yes, plastic and that too it was detachable) which make the whole bathroom a mess. No Alcohol is served in the hotel as they are yet to get the license. I have stayed for 2 nights and every time I had to ask for bath towels as they 'forgot'. The lighting in the room was poor and dim. I had dinner at one night and I did not liked the taste at all (my personal opinion). Overall, I would say I think I have expected a much more from a 4 star hotel but the facilities or the room or the services not worth it. Read moreNot value for money at all. Their prices are 4 times higher than their standard. Cost cutting is at its peak. They are not providing even packed water at room only tap water. Their toiletries are pathetic. Very limited food menu. Taste is also not good. If one serving in their kitchen is finished they will not refill it. Basic requirements like shoe shiner or shoe polish, pen are not there in hotel. Staff is polite but they are very less in number not even able to handle 8 to 10 guest at a time. Untrained staff, hotel management has not spent even a single penny or minute to their training. Just taking work from they by giving lot of burden as per their capability. They are scared like any thing and not allowed to take any decision. Top management is dictating them on phone and never present to handle the complain of the guest.
