A terrible experience today. I asked for sugar-less coffee, the staff gave me coffee with sugar, and with a bunch of lies, was trying to convince me it was in fact sugar-less coffee! Despite knowing the truth fully well. Were they so silly, or so brazen, I can’t make up my mind!
This is how it happened. I tasted the coffee, found it a bit sweet as against the sugar-less that I wanted, and queried the girl (staff). She said “Its light sugar only Sir. If you want more, you can take from here”. There was another staff, and she said, “This is actually sugarless you have been given, the other milk we have here will have More sugar in it”. I asked them, you too are contradicting each other. After I made some noise, after all I do know what sugarless coffee tastes like, the 2nd girl made coffee with the second milk option she mentioned above. And that, was not ‘more’ sweet as she claimed. it was the sugarless...
Read moreI had stopped here to try their coffee one evening as I like filter coffee very much and I had a feeling that this place would be the right one to satiate my coffee hunger. To my dismay, I was charged 20 rupees for a small portion of the south Indian filter coffee and trust me it was not up to the mark. I do not know how to describe exactly how the coffee tasted but I can say that it was not what you would expect. I think it has got to do with the mix of the decoction and the milk or may be the milk was watered too much. I am sorry I do not know. Do not try a cup of coffee here. I have not had anything else here. What else do you think I should try here. This small joint's USP is coffee and if they cannot deliver that well enough, I do not what else will they be good at. Thank you for your time...
Read moreI went to get myself a really strong coffee and had asked the person making for the same. But it was very light and not for my liking. Maybe the person might have given me the wrong coffee... I would only rate the coffee I had 3stars, because it was just okay but the reason I gave them 4 stars is coz of what I read on the cup and did my own little digging into the brand and was pleasantly surprised and very much impressed. Impressed at the owner's resilience and also the social initiative attached with the brand. They employ specially abled and senior citizens as a part of their workforce to run their stores. Also for those wondering, Hatti means home and Kaapi means coffee, hatti kappi is just to say it's homemade coffee. Will try...
