My recent visit to Xero Degree in Koramangala was, unfortunately, a letdown in terms of the food quality and service. Despite the restaurant's aesthetically pleasing decor and vibrant ambiance, the dining experience left much to be desired. Here’s a detailed account of what went wrong and some suggestions for improvement.
Cheesy Margherita Pizza: The Cheesy Margherita Pizza was the first dish to arrive, and it set the tone for the rest of the meal. The pizza was served cold, which significantly affected the taste and texture. Moreover, the base had an unexpected sweetness that didn’t complement the cheese or the tomato sauce, leaving a confusing aftertaste. To add insult to injury, the pizza was shaped like an awkward heart or spearhead, making it feel as though we were being short-changed on portions compared to a traditional circular pizza.
Suggestion- Ensuring that pizzas are served fresh and hot is crucial, as is maintaining a consistent flavor profile. A more traditional approach to shaping and baking would also ensure a better experience for pizza lovers.
Cheese Garlic Bread: The Cheese Garlic Bread was another disappointment. It was not fully baked, resulting in a raw, doughy texture that was unpleasant to eat. The lack of the expected crispness and golden-brown finish left the dish incomplete and unappealing.
Suggestion- Baking the bread to the right doneness and ensuring an even, golden crust would make a significant difference. A little extra attention during preparation could turn this dish around.
Mamma Mia Pasta: The Mamma Mia Pasta tasted as if it had been prepared with Maggi Magic Masala, which overwhelmed the dish and detracted from the authentic Italian flavors one might expect. This unexpected twist did not work well with the pasta and instead made it taste artificial and off-balance.
Suggestion- Adopting more authentic seasoning and sauces would enhance the dish's quality, offering a true Italian culinary experience rather than relying on packaged flavorings.
Chicken Cracker Bucket: The Chicken Cracker Bucket was, without a doubt, the biggest disappointment. The bucket contained a single chicken kebab that was extremely dry, cold and wacky flavor, six chicken poppers that were only marginally better, two average chicken wings, and two chicken strips that were okay. While the poppers were the best of a bad bunch, they still left much to be desired. Visually, the dish was deceivingly attractive, but the taste did not live up to its appearance.
Suggestion- Improving the quality of the chicken items by focusing on cooking techniques and seasoning would greatly enhance this offering. Ensuring that the chicken is juicy and well-flavored is key, as is presenting a more consistent level of quality across all components of the dish.
Chicken 'n' Cheese Fries: The only good item that I enjoyed till the end was the Chicken 'n' Cheese Fries. Rich in flavour, well done texture of the fries and cheese of perfect consistency. Good job on that!
Service and Atmosphere: While Xero Degree boasts a visually appealing interior with modern & picturesque decor and a lively ambiance, the service was another area of concern. Multiple wrong dishes were brought to our table before we even placed our order, indicating a lack of coordination and attentiveness among the staff. This confusion further detracted from the dining experience and added to the overall disappointment.
Suggestion- Training staff to be more attentive and organized can vastly improve the customer service experience. Ensuring that orders are taken and delivered accurately is fundamental to creating a positive impression.
TL;DR: Xero Degree has potential, with its stylish setting and creative menu, but significant improvements are needed in both food quality and service to match the expectations set by its appealing environment. Addressing these issues would not only enhance the overall dining experience but also elevate the...

Read moreThe ambience is really good, the music is a little loud, but the balcony makes the experience really nice, the food is really nice. The staff are incredibly sweet, all have such nice bright smiles on their faces, it's inevitable to smile. So here are a list of items I've had and my honest review Cheesy peri peri fries - 4/5 really tasty and the quantity is awesome, comfortable for a group of 2 to 4 based on appetite Chicken stripes - 5/5 we get 12 pieces and honestly it was one of the best things in this restaurant, really tasty and the accompanying sauce is really good Garlic bread - 5/5 beautiful, the cheese and oil is well balanced and tastes really nice Pizza in a jar - 2/5 honestly I don't recommend it, it can be made at home and it'll probably taste better, too much bread, too much sauce, very less chicken and less cheese. Juicy luicy sandwich - 3/5 had better sandwichs, but tasted nice, could try it if you wanted to Baked penne white sauce pasta - 4/5 initially when we got it it was really bland, upon requesting the chef he made some changes and that really enhanced the experience Alphonso cocaine - 4/5 like the menu says, it's freakishly big and really nice, worth the money
