Vissted today morning arround 8AM, Felt the worst Decision of trying breakfast in this restaurant.
The receptionist has a lot of attitude for everything he says we have been running this restaurant for 50 years. Ordered Rice Bath, he gave bisibele rice when we asked him he said "we have bisibele rice only and can't change it and for that he we are running this restaurant from 5 decades you cannot argue with us" and started verbal fight for this.
Overall food rating:- Khali dosa - it was not Hot, Not freshly prepared, it was made 5 to 10 minutes before and he served it to us, for Sagu he charged 10rs extra Poori - same, not fresh, taste was not that Good Idli and Vada - it was Good Masala Dosa - worst Dosa, same not freshly prepared Tea and Coffee - it was the only water I could taste no taste Coffee and tea. (Ordered Milk tea and coffee they served water tea and coffee)
Spent almost 250 rupees for two people.
Overall advice Don't visit this place.
First the owner or the receptionist should change his Behaviour towards the customer, They need to improve the taste of food.
Please be Mindful while ordering Food if you ordered something they will serve you different things, if questioned they will start fighting with you saying this is how we work and we have been doing this for 50 years.

A hotel with 50 year history failed miserably in customer service. During our visit today, we had the worst possible experience. We ordered Plain Dosa along with few other items. The plain dosa was horrible, just not eatable. The quality was so poor. We complained to the person sitting at the cash counter. He just did not care, he neither offered to replace it or offered apology. It was shocking from a hotel with rich history. I hope they wake-up!
Updated review;
A popular south Indian restaurant. Mainly famous for Kali Dosa and Rava Vada. They have adopted to new way of serving clients in this pandemic situation. Quality of food is their strong point which attracts loyal and repeat clients even in the current situation. It is a self service restaurant. They try their best to maintain social distancing and cleanliness. However many people are not understanding or supportive. What is required is people support and cooperation so that they can continue to serve.
My old review; A popular and old South Bangalore restaurant for Dosa. Food is good and pricing is reasonable. Parking of two wheeler is not a problem but parking for car is a challenge. You can find parking in side roads. The ambiance is neat. They have seating but it a self service restaurant. They are closed on Tuesday. Weekends are generally crowded but the service is fast. The restaurant is not...
Read moreThis is typical south Indian and a very old hotel. This used to in Bull Temple road 20years back but now it is in NR Colony. The unique item of this hotel is Khali dosa and kai chutney. One cannot resist to stop at one dosa, it's very very yummy and delicious. Sometimes I feel chutney as main item and Dosa is like an add-on. There are other items like Idly, masala dosa, poori etc., But nothing can beat Khali dosa, the king of Dosas in this hotel. If you are new to Bangalore you need to try Idly sambar. The sambar here is quite different and some may not get the feeling of Sambar. They feel it's typical TN style rasam. In 1970's Sambar in mess or small hotels were like rasam, but the taste use to be awesome. As the time passed the way Sambar prepared in Bangalore changed with the taste of public. Lastly to comment on price. Price when compared to other hotels is economical but for old timers who have eating for ages feel the price has been over stated. It's worth trying once due to the uniqueness of Khali dosa. It is not about the dosa, it's how we eat dosa with chutney. Ideally one has to immerse a piece of dosa fully into the chutney and take slightly higher qty only then you will feel it's uniqueness. Parking is a challenge, so be prepared to park your car little away and walk down instead...
