Authentic kannada restaurant for quick bites. We tried Shavige bath & Kesari bath and both were tasty to the core. Coffee was another item with a legendary taste. 5/5 to such root to the core restaurants. I found 25+ having a quick bite & submerged in the taste of the item they were having. Small place with only option to stand & eat, I could see unknown people eating on all 4 corners of the small tables & enjoying their food. Many people were also outside the restaurant, finding their own corner to have food/coffee. You will find regular customers visiting here for morning/evening snacks. Shavige bath is plain & served with chutney (see pics). I could eat 2 plates & plan for the 3rd as well. Kesari bath is another masterpiece with very less ghee/oil. Banana mixed in it was making it traditional & super tasty. Eating these two items together in alternative spoonfeed was another lovely trial. Waited sometime to enjoy coffee taste & it was worth it. We had options of no sugar milk as well. Could not eat vada or idly but could smell it & found very tempting. Not to miss the plate which they serve items into (see pics). I would love to buy it for eating upma/idly/vada in Sambhar/chutney dips. Enjoy the place with family & friends in old Bangalore style.

Had late lunch at south kitchen recently.was quite surprised seeing the menu they have added quite a few items. a proper darshini always makes me happy for the aroma of the fresh idly and the colour of chutney, since the menu is quite small I bought and tried everything in the menu. Coming to the food I ordered- 1.the idly was a fresh and hot and really soft. the vada was pretty good, with crispy outside and soft insides ,it was really good with the chutney 2.the kesari bath was average, not too much on sweet side and not too oily. The karabath was good I liked the spicy flavour . 3.coffee like all darshini's awesome. 4.navane Pongal - it was something really different , the Pongal had really good flavour and it was hot so tasted really good . prices are nominal, overall a good place to laze out a Sunday morning or sudden breakfast plans! and we definitely need more restaurants like these .

No onion, no garlic restaurant: One of the tastiest South Indian kitchens that deliver extremely affordable, authentic South Indian food. Loved the crispy Vada. Savige Bhath is a must try. It is very very light and non sticky. Loved bisibelle bhath and khara bhath too. Bisibelle bhath has a sweet but really lovely taste. The prices start from as cheap as Rs. 12. The entire menu is just under Rs. 44. Filter coffee and gulab jamun have to be tried for sure. This places has the softest of gulab jamuns. Service is pretty quick. Street side parking is available. The staff is friendly too. A self service restaurant which is really good for a quick bite. No onion, no garlic restaurant, no sambhar but still the food is top notch. The quality of food is really good. Serious hygiene is maintained and continuous cleaning of food counter takes place.

Food is great but the cashier was very rude . I gave 100 Rs and asked for cofee and one idli which will coat Rs 20 . he gave me balance 80 and one token for 1idli . I move to idly counter and looked at the alip it mentioned one idly only immediately I asked the cashier about cofee token he badly reacted telling I have the token and I might have missed or kept in poket . I told him to see if I missed it should be in the floor because it just 30 sec pased and u can check my pockets if don't believe me . instad he argued with me in front of others that he gave . I was visiting this hotel daily for.my evening cofee . I felt bad when he tried putting blame on me If he gave the slip it should in one alip only how it will be two slips for me to miss it and within 30 sec if a person comes back is it the way he has to react. Everyone makes Mistakes when they try to understand the mistake then it is OK . instead of that if he blames saying I might have kept in.pocket is too bad. Why should I do for 10 Rs cofee . if he had doubt he could have checked my pockets instead of balmming others . and when he prints 2 tokens it will be in single alip and the counter will tear the cofee token give us back . how come he says he gave me two separate slips Even though the taste is good if some one misbehave their customers they are answerable . I don't know this review will be seen by the management. I am ready to question him anytime in front of anyone for...

A must visit eatery for Idli, Vade, Huli Avalakki, Navane Bisibele Baath, Akki Shavige, Kara Baath, Kesri Baath, Upma/Uppit(only item that I felt needs to be cooked better, it’s almost a paste is what I have seen. Jamoon and Haalbai(Sweets). No Dose Items at all.

The eatery is open through the day 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM (newly changed, earlier worked split hours) serving this limited items on the menu.

What stood out for me and my family is that all the items are well made and will keep you wanting for more. The place is small, with no seating available, however not a issue for regulars is what I felt. A steady crowd of people coming in through the day

Ordering to getting the items delivered is a neat process, and very hygienic, no confusion whatsoever. I have always appreciated it.

They serve ONLY Chutney with all the above mentioned breakfast items. We travel from north bangalore and don’t have issues with the taste or quality and have never repented for travelling this far. The food has been good on the tummy is what all family members felt. Jamoon a personal favourite for all of us among the sweets. The Coffee and Tea just adds flavour to the entire menu and is perfect.

If you have elders and kids with you be prepared to stand and eat and if you have a car to park, you will have to park somewhere far off and walk up. I have always done this and always feel it’s worth the deal. Overall, good eatery for a limited...
