One of the legendary restaurants in the area and also one of the oldest! . Have visited this place many many times but always forget to click pics so had to delay the review ! . Finally last week I visited this restaurant / darshini The place is located behind the Basavanagudi temple .it's quite famous and anyone can guide you if you ask. Coming to food we ordered - 1.puliyogare - I have no words for it , the best puliyogare I have eaten in a darshini hands down! . The puliyogare masala was just mesmerizing ! My mouth was watering between the spoofuls of puliyogare I was stuffing in my mouth! . The spiciness , tanginess of tamarind and all the falvouts is distinctly felt in the mouth ! . Just amazing ! 2.masala dosa - not the best ever but one of the good ones . I wish it was a little more toasted to my taste ....but overall the dosa was really good . The Aloo is your normal turmeric chilly Aloo palya . Nothing great but can't fault it either . 3.vada samber - the bought the vada just to have the samber ! The samber is just amazing at this place ! The depth of flavour reminds me of every amazing idly , vada and dosa I have eaten till today with samber ! The vada was pretty good , it was big and properly fried and had generous portions of pepper . 4.coffee - it was filter coffee....can never fault that one . The prices are pretty low , the puliyogare is 40 bucks , the masala dosa -35 bucks ,vada -20 bucks and coffee 10 bucks . The service is very fast ! And waiters are really polite . They have both service and self service sections ! The ambience is good nothing grand but clean , hygienic and filled with tasteful paintings ! Overall all the name stands ! The restaurant is worth is worth is legend tag! . Must visit for foodies and must visit for puliyogare if your in the area !

Puliyogare point is a famous eatery known for their South Indian delicacies especially Iyengar Puliyogare. It's located very close to the famous Bugle rock's back entrance. Service: -It can get difficult to get the waiter's attention here. Nonetheless, they're friendly and quick. -Won't take more than 10 minutes to get the food on table. Ambiance: -Parking is available. -Restaurant is on lower ground floor with two different sections; one with seating area(accomodates upto 25 people) and another without seating area. Food: -Puliyogare: The signature dish served here is definitely one of the best I have had. But, I'd prefer Puliyogare at Veenas:) -Sweet Pongal: Another signature dish here that wasn't upto the mark. It could have been sweeter. -Jamoon: Too sweet, but not bad. -Coffee: Perfect, neither too light nor too strong. -Akki Roti: Crispy and delicious. A must try:)

Really upset with my experience today. I ordered 2 lemon rice, 1 curd rice and 2 plate bajji via Swiggy. But I was given stale food. I ate spoilt bajji without knowing until my mom told me. Lemon rice had a bad stinch. How does someone have the heart to throw away food that can feed 3 people? I wanted to convey Swiggy also about the experience, but they only gave rosey replies on chat and offered to refund 101/-. However, this is not about money. I need you to understand how a person is hungry and angry and we receive no proper understanding. They also kept insisting on images. I am not sure if you can smell something from images. The entire experience was bad, extremely disappointing. At one point I just wanted to talk to someone. I am sharing the images here nonetheless. I even called the number on found on Google, no response. I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone. If you don't have fresh food, just say so. Do not delivery bad quality food to earn profits.

We went there for breakfast on Sunday around 11 a.m. not much crowd. Waiting period hardly 5 mins for getting seats. 10 mins for getting our orders. (It seems A car parking shed they are using for dining) around 24 people can have breakfast at a time. We ordered puliyogare, vangi bath, sweet Pongal, idly sambar, maddur Vada and gulab jamun. Tastewise, puliyogare is really awesome. U have to eat. Very tasty. Vangi bath also good. (Before eat puliyogare, u have to eat vangi bath or anything otherwise all the dishes might be not tasty i feel) Idly sambar - sambar is ok but the chutney is not good. It should be improve the taste. I disappointed. Maddur Vada - ok level. Jamun - wow .. really very tasty. My son enjoyed. Parking- if u go by car, getting parking is little difficult. Puliyogare point is special for puliyogare 😀

Just brought down the rating from 5 to 1 the reason being my todays experience. I have been a regular customer of this place from past 7 years and loved everything that it had to offer, but today the most unfortunate thing happened which made my perception change about this place, today while having my bisibelebath i found rubber band in my food and when complained to the waiter instead of asking for an apology he says there is no problem (basically he didn't give a damn even if i ate it and choked to death) if i dont eat it and then i went to the cashier and complained and he asked sorry but these people dont want to acknowledge the seriousness of this accident and that this kind of service is unacceptable. This has to change and these people who dont give a damn about their customers wellfare should be brought to light.

Ambiance - The shop is divided into two, one self-service and the other is the service area. Service - IT wasn't crowded in the morning that we had been here. There was a single guy managing the service. He would deliver what was asked for and disappear. Price - Food was moderately priced whereas the coffee was priced higher than the other darshini. Taste - We tried the following items. Puliyogare - I had a lot of hopes on this dish as it's name is part of their brand. I was expecting it to be mind-blowing but it turned out to be regular puliyogare that you can easily get elsewhere. Coffee - Inspite of asking to serve it strong, it was below average. Medu dosa / khali dosa - This was the best item we got to taste. They were filling, soft and crispy. They were served with chutney (average) and sweet sambar (very good)
