Coffee brewed to its best.
This place was closed for sometime got a new modern look. New furniture, glitzy look, more seats and overall a Funda look that can match with any upmarket cafes. We ve all grown up at this adda from ages aand it holds a special place for us. The food we used to savor here was more homely, mild and was perfect in ur tummy. Especially the idli/vada, dosas, omelette, bread toast, cutlets and pakoras were such signature stuff. After a lapse of time today I wanted to dig into the kharabath served along with chutney and sambar with beans it reminds me of those ole days. The brewing coffee it's another hallmark tl can pull it off. We used to down several cupppas those days. Sad that the place which is visited by young, old, govt officials, lawyers, journos , cops and more old Bangaloreans , should get a better deal in respect with service by the waiters which is not at all in symphony. U ve to fend for urself wait with a lot of patience. Hospitality industry is grown to such heights and if this old coffee shop needs to give itself a standing in today's competitive space. They ve to pull up there socks. On a war footing basis a manager to overlook and waiters need to be courteous and make the customers feel comfy. I hope that the authorities who matter wl apart from having given a makeover look into this issue. Besides the restaurant u ve a counter that sells fresh coffee powder, plantation is sold at Rs 125.
Bangalore weather ☁️ today was right to down a piping cup of ☕ coffee............
Which other than the ole Coffee House , began with a light breakfast of a single idli and single udin vada , the idli was soft and the vada was piping hot, and outer side of the vada, was crispy and the light brown colour was appealing and the inside was fluffy with a piece of ginger here and there, sambar as usual was like home made with plenty of onions, 🍅 and was a mild yellow colour, the chutney was perfect ........ To top it all was the signature coffee, what more in this weather, sipping that coffee leisurely is supreme bliss....... It does not cause a dent in ur purse at all. My breakfast was a mere Rs 65.... It was filing and wl last tl lunch...... Compared to restaurants across the city, who charge such exorbitant rates even for idlis, vadas and more.... This is a steal by any standards.. The management wl have to be a bit more organised, since the waiters need to be fine tuned to attend the customers with a lot of conviction and attention.. They need to be trained in serving the customers, without the least bit of an issue.. U cannot make the customer wait for a second helping of sambar for a long time.... If such small issues are addressed, this place is ultimate in...
