This place has my heart! ♥️ Been here in Bangalore for over 16 years, so I've basically grown up with this place!
AMBIANCE : The beautifully painted walls, frames hanging all over, tea pots & wine bottles around the racks, totally my kinda place! You have both the ground and a cozy 1st floor places to choose from.
WHAT I HAD :
Starting of with the obvious, TEA! They have hundreds of flavors to choose from! And the best part? They have a timer along, so once we order the tea, the tea would be timed & brewed to the right temperature & other factors just for us to savor it!
FRUIT TEA TROPICAL DELIGHT & PEPPERMINT TEA : Loved both of the subtle yet refreshing flavors. The peppermint tea smelled divine!
MINI SPINACH PIE with CREAM CHEESE : Uh, these tiny pockets! Just the ricotta & basil pesto inside & still tasted so good!
GREEN PAPAYA & RAW MANGO SALAD : The chunks of nuts along the salad tasted even better! Fresh, chunky and a good start for the evening.
VEG STEAMED MOMOS : Ok, so the Momo's here are crazy! I remember having it a few years back, and I can't believe it's still remained the same!
HUMMUS & WHOLE WHEAT PITA : Classics can never go wrong.
RAVIOLI ( SPINACH RICOTTA & CREAM CHEESE WITH POMODORO SAUCE ) : Another FAVORITE!
SPINACH & FETA WITH ONION JAM & RED PESTO : Please try this! Loved loved loved this! Usually I use ketchup for every damn thing I eat, and for this, I didn't! Please have it without adding up anyhting, 'cause this was beautiful! The onion jam was probably what added the oopmh factor, best eaten when served hot!
DESSERTS :
FLOURLESS BELGIAN DARK CHOCOLATE WITH ORANGE ZEST : For all the dark chocolate lovers, this is the one you'll have to try!
BAKED NEW YORK CHEESECAKE with BERRY COMPOTE & HONEY COMB : The textures blended well. Not too much on the sweeter side.
SALTED CARAMEL APPLE PIE : Saving the best for the last, literally! This apple pie was freaking good! Wasn't too sweet, wasn't filled with just apples, uh, please try this out ok?
Overall, it was a walk down memory lane for me! Loved that the chef / owner, Gaurav interacted with everyone around to take feedbacks & make us comfortable all along! Glad to know this place hasn't lost...
Read moreThe first time I visited this place I found it nice and cozy . A place with a different taste.
Now, this was my second visit to this place. I must say, I am bored with this place. Pick any main course dish under the same category, it would taste the same. Example: Their signature dish with brown rice tastes the same as any dish under the same category.
A place that serves brown rice finds excuses in serving brown bread for their grilled sandwich dishes.
When asked for brown bread in place of white bread the owner blames it on the customers preferring white bread over brown hence they say they do not keep brown bread.Infact, the last time I visited them they asked the customer to buy the remaining brown bread if a Bombay grilled sandwich was to be ordered.
Do not order spaghetti or pasta here. You will be disappointed. Infact the dish we ordered they boiled the sphagatti added maggi masala and served it. Might as well have it at home.
And their main enterance door to the restaurant inside is very close to the smoking zone area. So, if u r seated with ur family inside the restaurant but close to the entrance then you may want to wait till there is a better seat available unless u do not mind the smoke entering into the restaurant from smoking zone area into the front few seats.
Oh! Forgot to mention. It is the same restroom for both men and women.
In this visit, they did'nt bother to fix their flush in their restroom before opening the restaurant for their customers that day. You push the flush button and the water never stops.
Made a mistake by visiting them for the the second time.
A place with only a one...
Read moreInfinitea has been in Bangalore in years and has been a classic in teas. Apart from that, they have always served some delicious food. Now they have also included some Keto and vegan options in the menu.
Teas I am not much of a tea fan other than masala tea. This place didn't disappoint me at all. They serve amazing masala tea and it is a must try. Apart from that Vanilla Oolong Tea imported from Taiwan is my next go to drink.
Food Their food is go to for and is a must checkout for sure. The recommended dishes are : 🔹Green Papaya Salad - a mix of veggies sprinkled with praline. A must try.
🔹Falafel Platter - Served with some amazing pita bread along with hummus, chickpea fritters and tabbouleh. One healthy and delicious dish to go for.
🔹Bengali Samosas - This one is best I have had in Bangalore for sure. Small samosas fried in desi ghee with a tinge of Kasturi methi. A dish you cannot have enough.
🔹Sweet Potato Ravioli - Perfectly cooked in butter and balsamic vinegar sauce.
🔹Pork Ribs - Mouth melting ribs with BBQ sauce and side of veggies.
🔹Cubbon Fish - Fish fillet with red pepper rub. Definitely a dish for the spicy lovers.
🔹Spinach And Feta Pizza - A beautiful and perfect thin crust with spinach, feta cheese and caramelized onions as toppings and red pesto.
For the desserts, I loved the Key Lime Pie - a delicious combination of tangy and sweet.
Infinitea also has a collection open to sale of teas...
