KA.01 Rooftop Bar and Eats — Restaurant in Bengaluru

The standards set by IBIS is always a pleasurable experience. May it be with the stay or the food, IBIS gives the best of it. Now they have come up with this engrossing idea of the serving street food from around the country. The name KA01 replicating the number board of the vehicles is interesting. It's a roof top dining space located on the top floor of IBIS, which can accommodate upto around 30-40 people at a time. They have a quirky Ambience with a truck kinda set up and the pillows are so damn cute💕

Another enthralling part is they have named the drinks after the names of the renowned areas in Bangalore 🤭 That's something very attractive and thrives you to try it out. So here's what we had :

Pool Cabs :

Rajajinagar : A white rum based drink with passion fruit and mango & also a little amount of kingfisher lager. It can serve two people and it's presented in a long test tube reminding us of the chemistry lab in the school 🤣 I loved this one the best.

Yeshwanthpur : Again a white rum based drink with Tamarind 💕 It's presented in a fish bowl along with the tamarind candys. This one can serve four people. And it's very sour-sweet kinda with a strong flavour of Tamarind.

Hot Rod :

Shanti Nagar : A vodka based drink with filter coffee. Ain't it interesting !?🤭 Definitely it is.

Marathahalli : A whiskey based drink with kochumpalli and egg white. It tasted more like a whiskey sour but in black colour.

The dishes they serve has many twists out of the desi style street food.

Bohri Samosa : Mutton kheema filled. Straight from the gallis of Ahmedabad. This is was so Yummilicious.

Butter wala Chicken kebab : Taking you back to the streets of Delhi. Served in the authentic way. Chicken and butter seperately. The butter has to be poured all over the chicken kebab to relish it.

Chur Chur Paratha with dal Makhani : This is the best among all. Served with Boondi raitha and onions. Absolutely Luscious. Very authentic and soulful treat for the taste buds.

Quail 65 : Not all places serve some good quail. Influenced by the Buhari hotel in Chennai they have come up with this Dish and I loved it from heart.

The concept of Street fusion food in pubs and bars is on the rise recently, and KA01 is the latest proof of that. Inspired entirely from Street food, KA01 has got their whole Food and Drinks menu dedicated for the same.

AMBIENCE:

The place is located on the top of Ibis Hotel in the city center. It is made to look like a typical street going in line with the street food theme. There are 2 food trucks at each end of this alley looking place. One of the truck dishes out amazing food items while the other one acts as a watering hole for the amazing drinks. There are high tables, couches and regular tables available for seating. There are various pretty lights especially the gorgeous street lights on the sides caught my attention. There are various quirky neon quotes adorning the walls. Even the cushions have very funny quotes and doodles.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES:

The place is meant only for appetisers, bar bites and munchies inspired from Street food as mentioned earlier. There is no concept of main course as such. We tried an array of different dishes.

Chana JorGaram is the perfect chakna to go with your drinks, also it is one of the finest munchies from North India. Ghee Roast Arbi is something unique which I tried for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it. Aloo Pyaaz Chur Chur Paratha was accompanied with Dal Makhani, the Dal wasn't authentic as such but the Paratha was delicious. Anda Paratha was another good pick with the accompanying dip improving the taste ten folds.

Their drinks had really interesting names, all representing a neighborhood of Namma Bengaluru. Tried a lot of different drinks namely Marathalii, RT Nagar, Neelamangala, Jayanagar, Rajajinagar, Electronic City, out of these Rajajinagar and Jaynagar were my favorites. They have community cocktails as well of which multiple people can take sips from, which is really fun and quite different.

For Desserts, we had their Sharing Dessert Platter which had Flourless Chocolate Cake, Malai Kulfi and Pan Fried Mawa Cake, among which Mawa Cake was my favorite which was served with salted caramel sauce.

SERVICE AND COSTING:

The staff is really humble and knows what to suggest to the customers. The pricing is pretty average and definitely worth it given...

"WOW" Customer Satisfaction level is 100% 🤩 It's not just a cafe it's an experience... have you ever saw a menu with areas names 😍🤩 KA.01 got an amazing naming strategy for their drinks menu😍... Really felt top of the world 😀 since it's in 8th floor of ibis hotel Such an amazing place to hangout.... Started with cocktails... we ordered RT Nagar drinks it's tastes amazing and excellent it's actually a Gin pomegranate juice and Basil cocktail, after that we took a Jayanagar which is Kingfisher lager with Limca🤩😍 it was so strong and made for perfection🤞 Since i am coffee addict i enjoyed KA 57- Shantinagarvvodka, filter coffee cocktail🤑... I prefer spicy food and spicy drinks 🤪 so i ordered Indianagar which is spiced rum with aap panna cocktail 🤩 it was so good and tastes amazing🤩.. off course i stay in electronic city i tried the KA51 Electronic city cocktail and they surprised me with a tea kettle which i used to see everytime in my childhood🥰 it's vodka masala chai cocktail🍸 and made perfectly. At last KR Puram 🤩 it's just like a Gola but dipped in White Rum, passion fruit and Strawberry ❤.... I never thought that i can drink these many drinks 😄😁 but these cocktails were amazing and i got a great privilege in KA-01✌.

Munch menu is fantastic... We started munching with Peanut Togarashi 🤩 it's just great with cocktails 🤩 my friends love Dahi and ordered Dahi ke Pithore it's authentic rajastani munch 💯🤩.. Taste wonderful... We tried Chicken Chintamani it was so yummy and delicious 😋 My all time favorite snack is Samosa here Bohri Samosa which was filled with delicious mutton keema and made for embodiment 🤩😋 Another special dish was Haleem 🤩 its so savory and sides with haleem was excellent 🤑🥰 I just loved the way they serve... At last Sharing Platter of KA.01 Desserts which was perfect at the end ❤ ice cream, kulfi, roasted pineapple chunks and raspberry coulis chocolate cake was so yummy and so much of chocolaty 🤩
