dont know much about history of this..b/w 1986-91, High-school and inter-mediate collegiate years of mine was mostly spent in the vicinity of this hang-out, Brigade Road was where my school/college was/is still..10 mins by walk. Koshy's Restaurant on St. Mark's Road and this Bakery off Richmond Road was within Top-10/20 popular snacking joint's of that era, frequented by mostly upper-middle class and rich literate ...classy types to be specific. Anything in service industry run by Anglo-Indian's / housed in area's where their population is more, has it's own charm, originality and service delivery standards. Koshy's Bakery has been one such name. Even during Old Bangalore era...when no digital branding..FM Radio..TV / Print Media advertising existed..Koshy's was a Brand..a Super-Brand...known to all relevant in Bangalore..was also on recommended list of Visitor's from Rest of India and Abroad. Word-of-Mouth publicity by visitor's made Koshy's an indelible name..no chronicle of Bangalore's social life would be complete without a mention of India Coffee House, MTR..Koshy's is in...

OG Variar''s plum cake, in contrast is pricier but enjoyable. Personally, Thomas's is not to my liking. The disappointment arose from the puffs at Koshy's, which were a day old, not served hot, and unappetizing. I do not recommend them, especially during the...

Most of the items (Sandwiches, Puffs, Pies, Samosas, etc.) aren't available right away and it will be in stock only post 10:3 or 11:00. And the shopkeeper can't really communicate this in a polite manner. In fact, he yelled at me for telling him that I've been waiting from 0930 for a...
