Yesterday, I, along with my team of 12, visited Ritz Carlton with high expectations for a delightful dining experience. As a passionate food blogger and traveller, I was eager to capture the essence of The Market restaurant through my lens and share it with my audience. However, what unfolded was nothing short of a disgraceful display of discrimination that left us utterly upset. Before even setting foot in The Market, we were rudely confronted by an Operations Manager named Jocelyn Vaz. With an air of superiority, he demanded that I switch off my camera and forbade any form of video recording. To add insult to injury, he then instructed his subordinate to monitor our every move, as if we were criminals plotting some wicked act. This humiliating experience was witnessed by my entire team, leaving me insulted in from of my team ad us feeling sidelined and disrespected. Despite my attempt to address this issue personally with Jocelyn, the damage had already been done. It was only through the intervention of the Restaurant in charge, Mr. Sunil Kumar, that we received an acknowledgment for Jocelyn's inappropriate behaviour. While his apology was appreciated, it hardly compensated for the marked experience we suffered. The incident at Ritz Carlton made us feel like unwelcome outsiders, unworthy of the same treatment as other guests. No number of regretful words can undo the sense of humiliation and disappointment that overshadowed what should have been a memorable dining experience. We had hoped for a good evening and hospitality, but instead, we were met with discrimination and disregard.
Moving forward, it is with great reluctance that we vow not to visit Ritz Carlton again. Our hard-earned money and loyalty deserve to be appreciated, not met with prejudice and hostility. It's disheartening to see such behaviour tolerated in a renowned establishment like Ritz Carlton.
I've had the opportunity to travel extensively and experience hospitality from some of the world's finest establishments, including Taj, Leela, The Oberoi, ITC, Four Seasons, and many others. Never have I encountered such disrespectful treatment. Even at 3-star and 4-star hotels where I've been personally invited, I've been greeted warmly, served by chefs, and offered premium accommodations with breathtaking views for me and my family. Unfortunately, the damage has been done, and this negative experience at Ritz Carlton stands out starkly against the backdrop of exceptional hospitality I've enjoyed elsewhere.

I would love to meet, the man behind this hotel. They have given attention to each and every corner of the hotel. They follow your instructions perfectly and never ever miss to give you comfort during your stay. The people over reception like Brijesh and digshika were amazing and kind. I am just 4 feet 8 inches, they customized bathrobe as per my size, i have never seen anyone doing that. They even arranged booties for my small feet. Rooms are super clean. Their bathrooms have amazing shine in their high end tiles. Best paintings are put on the walls from all over the world, with name of the painters on the side, so if you are curious you can read about the painters as well. Rooms are sound proof. My room had amazing panaromic view. Chefs there are amazing and servers are very enthusiastic. Their open kitchen in restaurant makes their restaurant different from all the restaurants i have seen so far in India. Their executive chef Sandeep Kalra gave me amazing time by serving amazing dishes. He made Vietnamese pho for me, which was a total surprise as i had told him randomly one day back that it was my desire to have it( p.s. It takes 24 hrs to prepare a pho). The entire team of chefs like satish, and a very sincere chef who used to prepare foods for me in afternoon took my food experience to another level. Diksha in the restaurant was very resourceful and Shubham was very enthusiastic to serve. Their housekeeping team specially Anusha was amazing, you get things there in seconds. There was never a no for anything, they put full efforts to get things done, no matter what. Their spa is a must to go for.
