Hotel Fanoos — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Located in a prime location of mosque road Fanoos definitely has a lot of competition from some legendary restaurants like CKP ,karma etc.....and I am very disappointed that they are not taking full advantage of it.

When I visited the restaurant yesterday it seems the hotel is under renovation and some big plans were being made ...so wouldn't talk much about ambience . Almost everything was 86ed on the menu .....very few items were available .

1.chicken shwarma- it was very delicious....the outer roll wasn't floury and thick .....it was thin and neatly grilled ....the shwarma tasted really good ..you could get the grilled chicken flavour when you eat it. 2.chicken sheek roll-another of their delicious roll again the outer roll was thin and neatly roasted...the chicken had been neatly roasted too ....it had just the right amount of spice and tenderness..

3.mutton biryani - This was the turning point for me......it was the worst biryani I have ever tasted . The biryani was more like tomato bath than a masala filled spicy biryani.....there were no mutton pieces in it ( negligible amount ).......tasted horrid and the curry he gives with it is tomato dal curry! .....it was disgusting..

The owner of the restaurant met with us and apologized for the bad Biryani and assured us when the restaurant reopened it will be better .....so I am cutting some slack for the rating. Prices are nominal .

They owners have asked me to visit again and give their food a second chance so will visit again....till then try the Rolls! But stay away from...

Worst worst experience! I was travelling the whole day and was exhausted so came across this restaurant and thought would stop by to have snack. So I went in and ordered Beef shawarma. I placed the order and was waiting near that shawarma counter. No one was there, I waited for around 10 mins and saw no one coming at the counter to make my order and the orders started piling up so I went to the cashier and told like there is no one to make shawarma. The cashier said wait I'll send, then again after 10 mins a guy came he started making shawarmas packed and went away, I was askng him to make my order he said wait we have online orders to complete first I'll finish that, after making few shawarmas he went into kitchen and again came back after sometime I asked wr r yu going pls make one shawarma and give as there were almost 6-7 ppl waiting in line! He said he is the only person managing restaurant orders and kitchen.. so that one guy is a waiter and a cook! He is picking up the orders coming to kitchen making them and again going and serving, after around half an hour he came made my shawarma and gave..

I'll tell you it is the worst shawarma I have ever had in my entire life.. like who adds tomato sauce in shawarma, he sliced the meat added sauce mixed it and wrapped it in a roti and jus gave it.. worst food, worst management. Really feel sorry for the...

Can't share enough of appreciation for the service provided by Fanoos and team (Nasir bhai, Shakir and Irfan) Especially Nasir bhai at the wedding recently. Very easy to communicate with a quick response. From planning to execution, everything was consistently excellent. The menu, food presentation, and taste always exceeded our expectations. The way buffet table displayed was professional and especially the Groom Table. All the pre-events coordination was seamless. All the guests at the wedding were surprised how delicious the food was. They loved to the bits. We very much appreciate for all of their help.
