On a pleasantly warm day, following the wet, cold and gloomy weeks preceding it, I and my friends went here for lunch. We were looking forward to a tasty and wholesome meal after watching Kripal Amanna's video, and we were not let down. The very smooth 'tadka'fied buttermilk was a great coolant as well as an appetizer, and we were rearing to go. We tried the Chilli Chicken, Pepper Chicken, Naati chicken curry, Mutton fry and Mutton chops, each competing for top spot, but the chops was a unanimous winner. The parotas were nicely roasted, the dosa was soft and savoury, and the ragi ball was good too. I'm told this place is crowded on Sundays, but you will get the soups (especially the Kaal (trotter) soup) and idli only on Sundays. Our meal was in no way inferior, despite missing these. The biryanis, both mutton and chicken were lip-smackingly delicious.
The owner was also kind enough to chat with us, and when asked about vegetarian items, he reeled off a few items including Paneer butter masala, mixed vegetable curry and Mushroom kadai, which could please my vegetarian friends too.
The place was clean and tidy with attentive staff and quick service. Although located in Sahakar Nagar (19 kms away for me, living in Nagarbhavi), this place is definitely worth a visit and this will not be my last time here.
All it cost us was ₹2000 for 4. A Tuesday...
Read moreStaff here are not so friendly. Below are the reasons a)I asked for some extra gravy in a small cup to gulp in a small piece of ragi ball that was left out, but he bluntly refused. b) ordered for a lime soda (sweet & salt), it tasted like sugar syrup and with extra squeeze of lemon. After a sip when I complained, they didn't even bothered to replace it. 3) At this stage, I didn't want to pay any tips to the waiter, however i paid in cash Rs 550 whilst the bill amt was 536, and was waiting for him to return the change back....this smart guy didn't even turn out and was avoiding eye contact with me and staying away from the table. Disgusted with his attitude I walked out. Food wise taste is ok and on par with any other nati style restaurant and there's no wow! factor to visit...
Read moreBad experience, tasted Ragi ball with mutton chops and chicken pepper fry and nati chicken curry. Nati chicken ok but chicken pepper fry , more bones than flesh were served . The quantity was very less for the money they take. Biryani is so so. The rasam is good but that is also rationed, unfortunately. The staff appear not so happy to have the few customers that come by, especially the manager, he must have been a sarkari Babu going by his attitude. ( Eat if u want or get lost) is the impression that he gives out. Don't waste your money and time and most importantly don't ruin your stomach.there are so many good restaurants around this place choose anyone and I bet it will be better than...
