It would be barmy of me to speak of this place as a pizzeria or a simple Italian restaurant. It is rather a quaint cafe serving perfectly made Italian delicacies and no, we are not just talking about Pastas and Pizzas, but far more than what you think of Italian cuisine and no, this place cannot disappoint the whole lot of the ton at all. Nestled in the posh suburb of Indiranagar, this cafe is the daughter of the vegetarian regional Italian eatery right beside, Spettacolare and it is no less than its mother when it comes to food. Plain and simple interiors, itās the food that does the talking. I visited this cafe with my sister and ordered a lavish spread consisting the Nduja Calzone, the Verde Fontina Calzone, a Nduja Pizza, the 5th Schiacciata sandwich and a Pesto Verde Cannellini Pasta. The Nduja Calzone was hands-down supreme in its flavour. The spicy and moreish Nduja Paste, earthy Mushrooms, herbaceous and flavourful Marinara Sauce, amongst other vegetables with the obviously flattering Buffalo Mozzarella and Fontina cheeses and perhaps a bit of feta in a a chewy yet crunchy and delectably buttery crusty golden brown shell was truly gobsmacking to say the least. The only other Calzone, The Verde Fontina was again, a brilliant dish. An absolute stunner especially for someone who doesnāt like Basil so much. Gooey Fontina Cheese and herbaceous yet not overpowering Pesto emulsion oozing out green Olive oil with the inclusion of slightly chunky Vegetables was truly sublime. It really does leave one wanting more. The Nduja Pizza was triumphant. And this isnāt oneās regular baked sourdough pizza. Yes it certainly is sourdough but this base is first fried to Golden brown crispy perfection, slathered with toppings, in this case, Nduja paste, Asparagus, Palermo Peppers and Bell Peppers, fresh Buffalo Mozzarella, crushed Pistachios and Hazelnuts and Straciatella. They all come together in an unbelievable union. Every ingredient had a role to play and everything stands on its own for its unique flavour and texture especially the crushed nuts. The 5th Schiacciata Sandwich was a 24 hours-fermented sourdough bread sandwich layers of Marinara Sauce, Pesto, Buffalo Mozzarella, Smoked Scamorza, Ricotta, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Arugula leaves and Crushed Pistachios and Hazelnuts. A heavenly sandwich. Period! Not because of the two dozen ingredients involved but because of their necessity just as any other dish i tasted here. Every ingredient was just as important as any other and everything had its place, necessity and importance to support the dish. The Pasta was very simple. Al-dente pasta, dressed beautifully in oily, slippery yet coating pesto with chunks of biteable Zucchini and Broccoli chunks and florets blanketed in gooey Cheese was unbelievably good. Itās a self-service cafe, yet the staff were very warm, polite and welcoming. I cannot choose the dish of the day because everything was utterly delicious. A triumph in Italian cuisine. An ambrosial experience. Absolutely orgasmic and one dare tries to eat the food with any fancy cutlery. This cafe brings the absolute warmth and joy of unbelievably authentic Italian cuisine and it is as close as it gets. I crown it as a must visit place and it comes highly recommended to all the vegetarians and Eggitarians. Visit this place to do yourself one of the greatest favours when you are in Bangalore. It is all reasonably priced and worth it all you pay and more. I did try for the desserts or Dolci but unfortunately, the Sfogliatella, one of the toughest pastries to ever make wasnāt ready and most other desserts contained egg unfortunately. I wish they could make them eggless. Nonetheless, try it all of you can. Itās an Italian heaven truly to its heart. 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe best place for Italian Desserts/savouries and itās one of a kind in Bengaluru!!! And the best part is that it is the sister branch of Spettacolare !!! What more could one want when you can get the best of both worlds at the same place?!!
I was definitely not disappointed when i tried their desserts. Sfogliatella: the best serving dessert out there and it is also the logo of their brand Panetteria!
Millefoglie: also another amazing dessert where it looks like a complicated delicacy but the taste is to die for!!
Vanilla gelato: I am not a vanilla person and I never like having vanilla ice cream but here in Panetteria it was such a game changer and i can never get that vanilla in any other place!!! I spoke to the owner about how it differs from every other vanilla ice cream and he said that he imports vanilla from freakinā Madagascar !!
(i like to move it move it towards the savoury dishes)

Scacchiata & maritozzi base: this sandwich comes with both vegetarian and egg base as options, this is a win-win for vegetarians and (specifically vegans), they have a variety of options with just one base that you choose from and every sandwich is one of a kind!
Foccacia de recco: Last but not least if you love cheese and with how Spettacolare has stood out with their cheese being so good compared to the other restaurants for me Mamma mia ! It is to die for š¤š» They use in-house stracchino cheese that is aged for a month or so, This delicacy is so good that you cannot miss it EVER!!!!
It is served hot and should be had while itās hot with classic honey and spicy honey which they prepare and trust me the spicy honey with this dish is just out of this world!!! I canāt get enough of it šā„ļø
Panetteria Bengaluru and Spettacolare Bengaluru thank you for existing and for us vegetarians being introduced to the varieties of your culinary dishes who donāt have to constantly whine about the few options available in other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood: We ordered a mushroom lasagna and an egg-based sandwich. The portion size of the lasagna was quite small for the price, but it tasted delicious. The sandwich, on the other hand, was huge ā so big that it was hard to even take a bite, but again, it was really tasty. We also tried the vanilla nougat ice cream, which was nice. One thing to note is that their menu hardly has any chicken or pork options. Most of the menu is vegetarian, with only one or two egg-based dishes. So if youāre looking for proper non-veg options, this place doesnāt have much to offer.
Ambience & Atmosphere: The place is quite small and almost always crowded, so you might have to wait for a table. There is no proper queue system, which makes it a bit chaotic. You have to place your order at the counter, and then they bring the food to your table. The cafe feels a little cramped due to the crowd.
Parking & Facilities: There is limited two-wheeler parking and no parking space for four-wheelers. The washroom/hand-wash area is not inside the cafe; it is outside and behind the building. The washroom is tiny and not very clean.
Overall: Honestly, I feel like itās not worth the hype. If I could, I would rate...
