Read moreRoadside eatery serving maharashtrian snacks. Whenever we need or fix of sabudana khichdi or vada or vada pav. Here is where we head, all dishes are authentic. Though these would be no patch on the eateries in mumbai but it certainly scratches that itch, if you need it. The sabudana kichdi has loads of peanut powder but no potatoes.( I personally prefer potatoes in mine) The vada is the closest to Mumbai cha that I have had in Bangalore. Also the pavs are super authentic, not the sweet crumbly stuff we get at bakeries and snacks shops here. Oh and the chutnies hit the spot too. The dabeli is decent not sweet so that works in its favour but not as good as what we would get at Mumbai. The amrakhand was great, served frozen so we had to patiently wait for it to thaw. But the sweet , sour and creamy shrikhand with the taste of unmistakably Alphonso mangoes was incredible. Nostalgia hit in a box. They retail decent maharashtrian masalas and methkut ( which I tried and was quite good). No ambience to write home and service is okay. But go for the maharashtrian food and you will come...
Read moreVery nice Maharashtrian food. Authentic taste. 100% taste buds satisfaction guaranteed who are looking for their childhood Marathi fastfood taste in Bangalore. It has limited menu, mostly breakfast type items, 2 lunch options, few upvas items, and fresh beverages and kulfi. Highly recommend their vada pav, misal pav, sabudana vada, and sabudana khichdi.
They also sell traditional Kanda lasun Masala and other dry chutney powders and pickle.
Prices are reasonable, but again comparatively high like anything else in Bangalore!
There is some space to park two wheelers along the roadside.
There is no seating arrangement. You can stand and eat at the tables or take parcels.
Service is a bit slow, may be because of high demand and large number of online orders.
It's tucked away near the Jayanagar market area. Small but a great place. One visit is enough to...
