Situated a turn away from the noisy main road & the metro construction, this very cosy - modern cafe and roastery serves a wide range of coffees, beverages and food.

Location: It's close enough to everything, including BTM & Koramangala, however it's a little too noisy around the cafe (but that's something they don't have a control over)

Ambiance: A well designed, semi-modern style using local materials and absolutely classy decor playing assorted new age commercial music in the background brings a great vibe to this place.

Food: Everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic but unfortunately I didn't try it out (yet)

Coffee: When you go to a cafe that roasts in-house and when their menu describes tasting notes of every single bean, you'd expect it to be amazing... However, 15 minutes at the bar table tells you the reason why. I am certain that the beans are great but the barista didn't justify the brilliance that the coffee beans could have brought to the cup. I am glad and appreciate that there are protocols put into place for every drink (including non-coffee drinks) to be weighed and measured while making it however, a barista's job is to brew great coffee. They have a great setup that consists of international brewing equipments from the top global brands out there, but the BARISTA IS SO BUSY DOING OTHER THINGS!! The barista invoices, takes your orders, delivers your order to the table, answers phone calls, etc! I ordered a Kalita pourover and an Aeropress, and both came under extracted. I spoke to the barista and he seemed open enough to learn, but too busy to implement his training! I am certain that the owner knows what coffee is, but it's sad to say that the owners passion for coffee is not seen at the cup. The espresso on the other hand was fantastic, except that I asked for a single shot and they pulled a double shot split by two, but I know the reason why and any cafe using a time-based grinding setup would do the same.

Service: DON'T LET YOUR BARISTAS double up as wait staff! First of all, I was a bit disappointed when my espresso and pourover arrived in a paper cup with a plastic lid on it! When I asked them, they said that since I am sitting outside, they serve in a takeaway cup. That's funny because they don't serve food in paper plates, but an espresso in a papercup? Also, I was never informed about this when I sat outside and ordered!

Pricing: The food is a bit on the higher side, but I am assuming that it's worth it. The coffee is very well priced and it's totally justified! An evening for two people with coffee and eats should cost you approximately ₹400-₹450 per person.

I definitely recommend it for people who aren't deep into coffee, and I hope that the owner receives this feedback and makes positive changes to their coffee brewing... I will look forward to my next visit here to change my...

A Delightful Combination of Coffee and Eggs at The Caffeine Baar..

As a coffee lover and a fan of unique menu offerings, I was thrilled to discover The Caffeine Baar cafe and Roastery in 📍Jayanagar, Bangalore. This cozy cafe has recently launched an egg special menu, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations.

I just love the rustic decor, combined with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, immediately set the stage for a delightful experience.

Now, onto the main highlight - the egg special menu. The selection of dishes available was truly impressive. Whether you prefer classic breakfast options or adventurous twists, there was something for every palate. I started my culinary journey with their Scotch Egg & Scrambled egg with harrisa hummus toast which was absolutely divine. Also, I relished the Classic cilbir. The perfectly poached eggs, combined with creamy garlic yogurt sauce, drizzle with chilli butter and toasted almonds & mixed herbs created a symphony of flavors.

Next, I decided to try their Shakshuka. The simple yet rich bold flavour has perfectly complimented the dish. The blend of textures and flavors made this dish a true winner.

For a little bit of spice, I opted for their Parsi akuri. The spicy & flavorful scrambled egg masala accompanied with toast was truly enjoyable, and every bite was an explosion of flavors. It was a unique take on a traditional dish and left me wanting more.

To accompany my meal, I also sampled their expertly crafted coffee. The Caffeine Baar's coffee truly lives up to its reputation. The range of options, from a simple espresso to indulgent specialty brews, catered to all coffee enthusiasts.

Overall, my visit to this cafe was an absolute delight. The combination of their exceptional coffee offerings and the recently launched egg special menu was a match made in culinary heaven. The talented staff, cozy ambiance, and delicious food make this cafe a must-visit for anyone in Jayanagar. I highly recommend trying their egg dishes - you won't be...

Haven for coffee lovers, located on 2nd floor, opposite Central Mall, Jayanagar 9th Block!!

With hundreds of cafes and coffee outlets around Bangalore, The Caffeine Baar stands out of the herd pretty well. It's not a usual cafe but an Experience Centre for coffee lovers. Run by a couple, where one manages the coffee estate in Chikmagalur while the other runs this outlet.

Their coffee beans are single origin, directly sourced from their estate (Baarbara Estate), one of the country’s highly regarded specialty coffee plantations and grounded fresh for brewing your coffee. The USP of this cafe is unique brewing techniques and fermentation style.

As a customer, you have the leverage to select your coffee beans (24 hour fermented, washed or naturals or pulped sun-dried or pineapple fermentation or honey sun-dried) and the manual brewing techniques (siphon or pour-over or french-press or inverted aeropress or chemex). We got to know the difference in taste when brewed through siphon & pour-over methods. You can feel the body/texture of coffee in the 1st sip.

They serve both hot and cold brews. They keep experimenting with the coffee flavors. Don't forget to try out their unique cold brews. Alongwith coffee they also serve quick munchies like in-house made cookies, croissants, sandwiches, burgers and desserts.

We tried the following:

  1. Matcha Latte Machiato - Silky matcha with honey, milk & espresso
  2. Malty Mocha - Malt, rich chocolate & espresso
  3. Chicken Croissant
  4. Mushroom Sandwich
  5. Yuzu Cold Brew - Single origin coffee beans, with fragrant, citrusy yuzu
  6. OJ Cold Brew - Cold brew, orange & jackfruit, over ice

Whats more?? They offer free wifi, well-lit space, and of course, delicious single origin coffee. They are open from 9.30AM to 9PM with stringent Covid-19 related precautions...
