Nothing is more apt for this review than The tagline of My Blog The FOOD ADVENTURE which says “An Expedition of exploring different restaurants is an exuberant and mesmerizing gastronomical journey. The joy of seeing culinary masterpieces is heavenly bliss”. There are just a handful of places which meet expectations but this has surpassed it all and has set a standard that cannot be beaten. This newly opened restaurant is a master in Authentic Traditional Muslim Cuisine. Each dish on the menu has a separate distinguished taste and a different preparation technique. Variety of options to choose from. All recipes belong to Ms. Falak, wife of Mr Sharief that have a unique personal touch. Thanks to them Ramzan Special Delicacies are now available all year around. All ingredients are fresh, some ground in house. For me it was a moment of nostalgia reminding me of my Grandmother’s passionate cooking.
Food- Starters are Incredible. Impeccable Quality. Impressive Presentation. The Paya Ka Salan and Murg Marag soups not only have an Appetizing aroma but also excite the palate. Patthar Gosht is fantastic. Slowly cooked on a stone slab to perfection that melts in the mouth. One of my favourite. Shami Kebab is outstanding. Stuffed with piquant minced meat and egg, it is crispy and provides an explosion of flavor. Highly Recommended. Prawns and Teetar (Quail) Fry were Excellent. Juicy, Soft and well marinated making it exceptionally good. Sukki Phaal or lamb chops are splendid. Superb masala, Tender and flawlessly grilled. Chapti Murg is phenomenal. A typical street food. Fabulous Fried Chicken Pieces on a stick dipped in spice with a scrumptious outer covering.
The other top notch dishes that I relished and deserve a special mention are Tandoori Kebab, Gurda Kaleji and Bheja Fry. The brain mixed in pepper seasoning was the best I’ve ever eaten. Literally!
I the main course, Gravies such as Khurma, Nalli Nihari and Cutt Kofte Ande had the right Right texture, thickness and spices giving it a brilliant taste. Lavish yet light. What a quintessential Muslim Home Curry should be like! Goes Great with paratha.
Chicken Biryani is Hyderabadi Style in long basmati rice. I absolutely loved the remarkable Bangalore Style Mutton Biryani in small ‘Zeera Samba’ rice. Flavourful layers of rice cooked in succulent meat that imparts an essence to the masala.
Apshoola Lime Drink and Sulemani Chai are nice and refreshing. For Desserts, Indian Sweets were a true delight. Muzaffar was extraordinary. Made of rice, it was rich, creamy and had generous amount of nuts adding to the crunchiness. Matka Phirni is terrific. Halwe ki poori made with ghee was so delicious and irresistible that I burned my Mouth with the hot khawa. However fish is average and can be improved. (9/10)
Service- Exemplary. Wonderful Hospitality. Staff make you feel comfortable with their royal treatment. Waiters are polite, courteous, attentive, efficient, knowledgeable and well trained. It might bit a bit slow and take little longer when there are more people because everything is made fresh as per order. Valet Parking Available. (8/10)
Ambience- Amazing decor that gives an elegant Vintage Muslim Homely Feel. Matching White Crockery enhances the attractive look. Beautiful wall designs. Comfortable sofas and chairs for seating. Spacious Arrangement. Well planned layout. Large spectacular lights. Magnificent Mughal Painting and colourful chandeliers at the entrance. Marvellous View of the Live Open Kitchen through the glass. Calm and peaceful atmosphere with light old hindi music in the background. (9/10)
Overall- (9/10) A extremely satisfying meal and a memorable experience. Will surely keep visiting again to satisfy cravings. Economical Pricing. Pocket Friendly with Value for money. If live to Eat is your ideology, Sharief Bhai is a must try, a rare gem that you will...
Read moreI visited this place for the second time, thinking that the food will be as amazing as the first time. But i was disappointed. I even ordered the same food which i ordered first time. But the taste was completely missing. Ghost Marag was good but they served just a single bone piece (which hardly had any flesh) with the soup & the quanity was very small for the price. Pathhar Ghost was very rubbery and chewy with hardly any flavours in it, not even salt. Ghost Biryaani tasted like just plain rice without any flavour or spices or even a bit of ghee. Surely this will be my last visit to this place. I just love muslim cuisine and used to explore places near shivajinar and frazer town to taste such delicacies during ramzan. Finally found a place in Kormamangala that serves ramzan kind of food year round.
Ambience:It has a open kitchen where you could see all the food preparations. The place has simple basic interiors, nothing too fancy.
Service:THe owner and his wife come to your table & greet you. It was so nice to talk to them and learn about all their food options. Serving staff were also courteous & the service was really fast.
Soup:I am a Mutton fan. I just loved their Ghost Shorba.Chicken Murag is a must try & it is served with sheermal (Its a knd of homemade soft bread which goes well with the Murag)Mutton Paya is also great here.
Drinks:We Ordered Masala Chas & Sulemani Chai.Sulemani Chai is clear tea with tonnes of flavours in it. Its a must try.Masala Chas was also flavourful.
Starters:In starters We ordered Gosht Shami Kebab, Patthar Ghost, Chapti Murg, Anjal Tawa Fry, Prawns Tawa Fry.All starters were rich in flavours and mouth melting. Just loved the flavours. In vegetarian starters We liked Mushroom Laal Mirch, Paneer Kaali Mirch.
Main Course:We ordered Nalli Nihari, Cutt Kofte Ande, Hare Masaale ka Kheema with some chapathi & Paratha's.Hare Masaale ka Kheema was the best in the lot.In rice We ordered Khushka, ghost biryan, chicken boneless biryani. The biryanis had Such a nice aroma & flavours & spices. Mutton pieces were so soft & juicy.
Desserts:We ordered Muzzafar, Matka PhirniThey are served in a small matkas, perfectly sweetened and great flavours.Muzzafar : Mixture of rice, milk, khoya, kesar and dry fruits.Halwe ki Poori : Its a kind of gujia with sweet stuffing inside & dipped in sugar syrup.
This place is definitely worth a visit. They have very less vegetarian options though. I would highly recommend this place. Delicious food prepared with home made...
Read moreSharief Bhai- My new Favorite place for biriyani in Bangalore. This gem of a place was doing rounds on social media from the past few months for being the best in what they do. And I finally got the time to visit them last night and let me tell you, I was mind blown. Their biriyani is something I can have every day all day. The Ambiance is of a rich Muslim cuisine. The staff are just super awesome n the management, the best. The owner still talks to each customer them customise their and get they want, that shows how serious they are regarding the business. A Vegetarian liking authentic Muslim cuisine is hard to come across you might think. In this case, there are numerous vegetarian foodies around Bangalore who frequent this outlet more than they would to a Pure Veg Restaurant - that's the greatness of this place. So I took the suggestions of fellow food bloggers regarding what to order and this is how it went.
🔶Highlights of the place🔶
▪️ Authentic Muslim Cuisine ▪️ Rich Ambiance ▪️ Long waiting times on weekends ▪️ Amazing staff n a super special management ▪️ Best Biriyani in town ▪️ Super Value for money
🔶What I loved n will recommend?
🔸Egg Biriyani- Perfectly Balanced Indian spices with some amazingly flavoured Basmati rice and a couple of eggs. The end result is the heaven descending on Earth when you have each bite. The Mirchi salan is the best I've had till date. 🔸 Paratha with Paneer cutt- Quiet a new flavor to my taste buds, loved every bite. 🔸Mathka Phirni and Muzzafar- Two best Aunthentic Muslim desserts I've had n the best till date. 🔸 Chocolate paan- The best ending to one of the best meals I've had till date. The chocolate blended in to Paan just does wonders, trust me.
🔶What I would ask them to improve?
🔹 Paneer Kali Mirch- This was too plain for my liking, would love it if you could induce more flavors into it
Other non vegetarian dishes my buddies loved:
🔹 Gosht Marag, Paaya, Gosht Cutt Kufte Ande, Gosht Biriyani
Overall a very appetizing n an extremely satisfying experience. Love every bite, every minute I spent there. Highly recommended to every Biriyani lover irrespective veg/non veg. Very hygienic as well. Even a Pure Vegetarian wouldn't feel uncomfortable in this place. I'm coming back numerous times in the coming future. My pitstop for Biriyani cravings is set is yours? If not head here today n have a portion of their mind blowing Biriyani.
