We recently visited this veg restaurant in Bangalore for breakfast and was pleased with the experience. The restaurant's focus on vegetarian cuisine was a refreshing change, and I was eager to sample some of their offerings.
We ordered a variety of dishes, including masala dosa, idly, and Puri masala, as well as kesari bath for dessert. Of all the dishes we tried, the Puri masala was by far the standout - it was hot, tasty, and perfectly spiced. The masala dosa, however, was a departure from what I'm used to in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The dosa was thicker than usual, and as a result, the chance of a Keralite enjoying it may be slim. However, it was still a flavorful and satisfying dish.
The idly was soft and fluffy, which I appreciated, and the sambar was on the sweeter side. While it wasn't my personal preference, I know that many people enjoy a sweeter sambar, and it certainly didn't detract from the overall quality of the dish.
Overall, I was impressed with this vegetarian restaurant's breakfast offerings. While there were a few dishes that didn't quite suit my personal taste, the Puri masala alone was enough to make me want to return. If you're in Bangalore and looking for a tasty vegetarian breakfast, this restaurant is definitely...
Read moreAnother breakfast date with wifey after a quick temple visit, and this time to one of our favourite darshini’s in Whitefield, Udupi Park.
We usually visit them on birthdays, anniversary for an indulgent breakfast, but sometime we end up here for no reason at all, and this was one such time.
Ordered our usual, masala dosa & Poori saagu, and added request of potato masala, instead of the chutney.
The Dosa, this time was a little different, it had a dollop of butter on top, that was magically melting and dripping onto the masala inside through an incision that I wasn’t sure to be intentional. Nevertheless a crispy Dosa with the goodness of butter-dripped potato masala was perfect to shake things up for me that morning.
Wifey’s Poori was, as always perfect, that she loved indulging in, and almost, always one she couldn’t finish, giving off a major portion to this glutton to enjoy with the potato masala that I specifically asked for.
We finally topped off with some superbly strong coffee that we shared.
Highly recommend place for breakfast, though have occasionally indulged in their dinner fare of rotis & North Indian curries, which are great from what you can expect...
