I’ve always been a fan of Third Wave coffee, and their Malleshwaram branch didn’t disappoint on that front, although the experience was a bit of a mixed bag overall. The cafe is small but cozy, offering a nice vibe to relax or catch up with friends. The staff was also very courteous and accommodating, especially when there was a mix-up with our order on the app (it showed dine-in when it was meant to be takeaway, so we had to wait again).
We tried quite a bit of food, and honestly, the quality was hit or miss:
*Hummus & Pita Platter (2.5/5): The salad was fresh and tasty, but the pita bread was too small, and while the chickpea hummus was nice, it didn’t quite make up for the underwhelming overall dish.
*Paneer Tikka Sandwich (1.5/5) and Paneer Tikka Wrap (1/5): Both were disappointing. Overloaded with mayo and overly sweet, the filling was basically the same in both, with the sandwich offering more grain options while the wrap was pure maida. Definitely not worth the price.
*Mexican Paneer Sandwich (3/5): This was a pleasant surprise! The flavors worked well, but it would have been nice if there was more paneer stuffing to balance the taste.
*Cinnamon Roll: Based on the hype, I was really excited, but it didn’t live up to expectations. The flavor wasn’t strong enough to justify a 700-calorie treat, which was a letdown.
*Orange Zest Mocha (4/5): As usual, their beverages were on point. This mocha had a great citrus kick and was the highlight of our meal.
Overall, the drinks are always good at Third Wave, but the food at this location left a lot to be desired. Given the portion sizes and prices, I expected much better quality. I’ll be back for coffee, but I think I’ll skip the...

More about Third Wave Coffee:
Third Wave Coffee is a movement within the coffee industry that focuses on high-quality, artisanal coffee, with an emphasis on the coffee's origin and the roasting process. It is a departure from the commodity-focused approach of first and second wave coffee, which treated coffee as a mass-produced product.
Third Wave Coffee seeks to highlight the unique flavors and characteristics of coffee beans from different regions, and to showcase the expertise of roasters in bringing out the best in those beans. This often involves using lighter roasts that allow the natural flavors of the coffee to shine through, rather than darker roasts that can mask those flavors with smoky or burnt notes.
In addition to emphasizing the quality of the coffee itself, third wave coffee also places a strong emphasis on sustainability and ethical sourcing. This means working directly with farmers to ensure fair prices and working conditions, and taking steps to minimize the environmental impact of coffee production and consumption.
Overall, third wave coffee is about celebrating coffee as a specialty product, and recognizing the skill and expertise that goes into producing a truly...
Read moreI dropped by the Third Wave Coffee outlet in Malleshwaram in morning. While the coffee itself was not satisfying, a few things really stood out—unfortunately, not in a good way.
Firstly, there was no running air or proper ventilation near the service counter. Your hardworking staff were visibly sweating while preparing and serving orders. Though nothing unhygienic happened during my visit, it’s not far-fetched to imagine sweat accidentally finding its way into a cup one day—turning a fine brew into something like sea salt coffee.
Secondly, the air conditioning wasn’t functioning effectively, which made the overall atmosphere uncomfortable—not just for customers, but clearly for the staff as well. It felt stuffy and warm, which really takes away from the cafe experience.
Lastly, the food bites weren’t quite up to the mark this time—both in freshness and flavor.
I genuinely hope these points are taken constructively, because I do appreciate the brand and the effort your team puts in. With a bit more attention to ventilation, AC maintenance, and snack quality, this place could easily become a favorite...
