By far one of the worst experience we've had at a restaurant. I was here on New Years Eve simply because the restraunt accross the street I actually wanted to go to was under renovatios. The 1st floor was relatively empty and had a lot of vacant tables. What was good: the seating arrangements, fish and chips and Margarita pizza were alright. Not delicious but mediocre enough for me not to complain after a long evening of walking around. The dishes were plated well so kudos to the chef. What could have been better: My gf and I walked up to the reception at 7pm asking for a table for 3, the lady at the reception walked in through the main door shutting it behind her on our face as we were following her. We din't pay much heed to it but we should have. We ordered a drink and 3 appetizers. My brother got to the restaurant at 7:48PM and was told that he got there after a "certain time" so would have to pay cover charges, the receptionist stated 2k and one of yhe server's quoted 3k. Mind you this was never mentioned to the two of us who were already at the table having food nor were there any visible banners stating this fee. We tried to reason with them that there were already 2 of us having food and my brother was joining in 48min late as he was getting there on his own and they finally agreed to let him enter without charges provided we left before 9PM. The tone and behaviour of the server attending to us changed drastically post this, we were famished so we ordered a pizza and were not provided with the condiments until we asked a different server who wasn't even attending to our table for them. As we were picking up the last slice off the pan the server attending our table swooped in and took away the condiments to another table. We asked for the bill way before 9PM and requested that service charges not be added before it was printed as GST and SGST were already part of the bill and service charges are not mandatory(we've always tipped our servers seperately at every place we've been too). For this there was some explanation as to why it was mandatory. It wasn't much so we decided to just pay it off and get out of there. Once we had paid the bill on swiggy dineout the server came up and asks us how we were paying and when we responded he said we couldn't use dine out on 31st and 1st. Nowhere was this documented or mentioned that we couldn't pay using the dineout subscription which btw is also paid for so we can avail discounts at restaurants who have chosen to be on it. After a short debate our server gets annoyed and says "okay pay it on swiggy", he takes a picture of the screenshot and we leave the place. few seconds down the stairs and we hear him come up behind us saying we haven't paid the bill to three dots and a dash as it wasn't showing in the picture. We opened up the app and showed him both pages that showed the payment was made.
Ruined the vibe for NYE that we were out to enjoy. I'm sure that not everyone at the place behaves poorly but I would never enter this place again or ever recommended it to...
Read moreI'd been wanting to go to this place ever since its existence. Somehow, it took longer than i expected for me to visit the place. Went here with two of my friends last night. We had reserved a table before hand but we reached late so we lost our table. Consequences? Waiting like the other people just to get inside haha. Well, we atleast got the bar section area where we had to squeeze in, got chairs and quickly occupied the place before anyone else could. So, here is what we ordered for drinks. Long island ice tea Blenders pride large Malibu large and Captain Morgan. I had LIIT, it was medium strong with the right blend . I liked it. Malibu was good too. Captain morgan was kinda strong and had too much going on in it. For, appetizers, we ordered for Chicken popcorn firecracker, Chicken wings, Chicken salt and pepper, Cottage cheese salt and pepper and some Veg Nachos. Chicken popcorn firecracker is really something you need to try. So crunchy and it goes so well with the sauce they serve. Wings were good too, not overspiced, Nachos brought a slight dip in the graph for me. All i could find loaded on the nachos were mexican beans and cheese. Would give it a miss the next time. Cottage cheese salt and pepper was okay, nothing to boast about. Chicken salt and pepper was good, tangy and the chicken was tender with the right flavour and spices balancing out. Also we had a Chameleon Sheesha which was good. Nice flavour, not too strong. Okay, so to talk about the ambiance. Hmmmm, Good ambiance, Good interiors, sofas towards the wall and tables in the central area, there is a seperate section for smoking. The bar is inside the Non smoking area and they serve sheesha only on the rooftop. The place was kinda crowded which is obvious on a long weekend. We literallly had to ask the manager a couple of times to get a table on the rooftop where we could get sheesha. The place has adequate place but the crowd buildup leaves you waiting for quite sometime. Need to have patience haha. I found the place very lively and energy filled. Good music, good service, courteous staff, reasonable menu (drinks and food) and most importantly, the quality of food, which was upto the mark. Looking forward to...
Read moreFirst things first.. The Sheesha/Hookah here is just mind blowing. Hands down the best one I have ever had. I think we ordered "CHAMELEON" and after taking 4 puffs, it hit me real hard and in an instant I was stoned. The best feeling ever. 😁
The theme of this restaurant is Hawaiian/TikiBar and they had all the ingredients that made us feel as if we were teleported to Hawaii. From the receptionist to the waiters, all were in Hawaiian attire and wore flower garlands (albeit fake 😛) but it did solve it's purpose.
Coming to the drinks, they have the most innovative vessels to serve the cocktails and the cocktails were pretty good too. I ordered ""DEAD RECKONING" which was Gold Rum cocktail and it arrived in a Skull shaped glass on top a bowl filled with Liquid nitrogen with Smoke oozing out from all sides. One sip from it and I knew I was in for a good time. Also we had booked the table from DineOut app and availed an offer of 2 complimentary Gin+ Rum based shots at the restaurant. The shots were extremely smooth and we thoroughly enjoyed the concoction.
Now moving on to the food part, I believe we may have gotten carried away with the ambience and the vibe and we ordered more than we could eat. We had ordered Smokey chicken barbecue pizza and the non-vegetarian platter and boy..we weren't disappointed. The portions were big and we cud eat only half of what we had ordered and requested the waiter to parcel the rest which he gladly did.
Over all, one of the best experiences we had in recent times and quite possibly our new favourite hangout place in Bangalore now. The crowd was pretty decent too.
Three cheers to 3 dots and dash and to...
