ZED THE BAKER: Review

ZED THE BAKER is a must-visit for anyone in the Church Street area who is looking for delicious baked goods. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked bread, pastries, and cakes wafts through the air and is sure to make your mouth water.

The selection at ZED THE BAKER is impressive, with a wide variety of breads including sourdough, whole wheat, and focaccia, as well as sweet treats such as croissants, macarons, and tarts. The bakery also offers a selection of sandwiches, quiches, and other savory items for those looking for a quick lunch.

One of the things that sets ZED THE BAKER apart from other bakeries is the quality of their ingredients. All of the breads and pastries are made with high-quality flour, butter, and other ingredients that are sourced from local farmers and producers. This attention to detail is evident in the taste and texture of the baked goods, which are consistently delicious.

The only downside to ZED THE BAKER is that it can be a bit expensive. However, the high prices are more than worth it when you consider the quality of the food and the care that goes into making it. The deliciousness of the treats are worth every penny.

The staff at ZED THE BAKER are friendly and always happy to help, whether you're looking for recommendations or need assistance with your order. They're also happy to answer any questions you have about the bakery and its products.

Overall, ZED THE BAKER is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious baked goods. Although it's a bit expensive, the quality of the food and the care that goes into making it more than justifies the high prices. It's expensive but delicious. So go ahead and treat yourself to something sweet or savory at ZED THE BAKER. You won't be...

Another day, another morning, and the never-ending quest for the perfect breakfast spot led me to Zed the Baker on Church Street. This cafe isn’t just a place to grab a bite— Its an Instagram hotspot, drawing influencers and reel-makers like moths to a flame. But let’s be real—it’s not the food that steals the show. It’s the exterior, designed to be the perfect backdrop for those dreamy couple photos.

Now, stepping inside which is the real test. The interiors are elegant and thoughtfully designed, creating a vibrant cozy yet upscale ambiance. I started with my go-to caffeine fix: an Americano with an extra espresso shot. It was hmm… alright. Decent, but nothing that could rival Caffeine Bar, which is just across the street.

The breakfast menu, however, looked quite promising. I opted for the Masala Omelette, a hearty three-egg delight. Now, this was way better than the coffee—flavorful, well-seasoned, and something can order again.

The cafe also boasts an impressive selection of pastries and baked products, but I decided to save those for my next visit. One thing is that Zed Baker leans towards the pricier side compared to some other cafes on Church Street. But if you’re looking for a spot that blends aesthetics with decent food, it might just be worth a try.

Would I go back again? Maybe for the pastries. Maybe for the ambiance. But for the coffee? I will probably cross...

Great ambiance, with mood lights and music playing 'round the clock. The service can be a little better, seems a little understaffed so you may have to wait before placing an order. However, staff are very courteous.

The food can best be described by this: Imagine a dish that you like and have eaten it before several times so that you are well acquainted with the taste. Zed the Baker taps into your mind, and elevates it even further beyond.

Tried the Cheesy Garlic bread not expecting much. Usually the focus is on the cheese, but here, the bread is the star of the show. Extremely rich and velvety, and the cheese adds to the flavour instead of overwhelming it.

Next, the Margherita Pizza. This one felt a little overloaded with cheeze, but two things made up for it: cherry tomatoes for periodic flavour explosions, and an absolutely pristine crust. A few olives will also surprise your taste buds.

For desert, tried the Tres Leches for the first time. As soon as I took the first bite, it sang "What can I say, except: You're Welcome!" Imagine a rich, fluffy sponge cake, that has been.. for the lack of a better word, marinating in different types of milk; topped with a perfect cream cheese based icing. This will leave you shambling out the door, questioning who and why you are.

Price is certainly a bit expensive, but some dishes are a must try. Worth it for a once in a...
