This is one of iconic places in church street... generally bustling with a peppy crowd, the interiors are colourful, the atmosphere is sombre and food is hands-down good. I went there with a big group of 8 and ended up having a big list of items....
Drinks:- Cocktails:- Bird Cage - Delightful to look at..A white rum drink mixed with a lot fruits and orange liquer, comes in a large quantity and is good for a group. Go through the pictures to know, what's Bird Cage. Hoppi Bath Tub - Ever wondered of having a tub full of alcohol, hoppipola serves it to you.. A combination of White Rum and beer stuffed open into the tub. Look through the pictures again. Thai Smash - A classic cocktail made out of Kafir Lime(Gondhoraj Lebu) and Vodka.....just delicious.
Food:- Veg:- Paneer Tikka - The paneer wasn't very tender, the marination needed a bit more zest to it. Cottage cheese trilogy - A good dish for vegetarians... going by the description in the menu, it should have tasted like a continental dish but it didn't. Rich Creamy Mushroom Pasta - A nice take on pasta, mushroom goes very well with white pasta and it really stood out. Masala Pizza - This is a remarkable pizza.... you woudn't have heard much about a masala pizza, it has less masala but has green chillis which was hot and would entice your tastebuds a lot. Jalapeno Cheese Bombs - You take a bite and you don't regret it as its just a guilty pleasure for your tongue. A definite must-try item for everyone. Maggi Missiles - A innovative take on maggi, crumb rolled cheesy maggi deep fried in oil. Could have had a bit more seasonings and cheese. Quesadilla Tower - A very average take on quesadillas, filled with a lot of veggies but didn't really stand out.
Non-Veg:- Old Monk Wings - Loved it! Wings were cooked and coated well and dipped in old monk made it even more delicious. Anda Gotala - Egg bhurji wrapped in a thick egg omlette, the bhurji could have been tastier as omlette alone can't get the real taste out of a dish. Hoppi Fried Chicken - Scrumptious dish to try out, people who like KFC chicken can relate to this because once you take a bite, you feel like having the same. Stuffed Grilled Chicken - The chicken was a bit chewy but the stuffing was good. Amritsari Fish Fingers - Tenderly cooked fish and fried to perfection, if you like fish, you can definitely for it. Just an advice. serve it with either mayonaisse or mustard sauce. Smoky Barbeque chicken sausages - Lovely dish. Never had a better dish made with sausages, sausages cut into small pieces and barbecued slightly crispy and made in a tangy way...was just delicious.. A must try. Southern Spiced Crispy Prawns - Prawn lovers, when you visit Hoppipola...you have to try this, perfectly cooked prawns coated nicely in a very South-Indian flavours and fried crispy... just awesome.
Desserts:- Choco Bloc - The brownie needs a lot of improvement as it tasted like cake and the texture wasn't that great. Mango Panna Cotta - The mango flavour was the highlight of the dish but the texture of pannacotta could have been better. Kulfi Panna Cotta - Not that great a dish, kulfi flavoour was missing completely, the texture was good but flavour was missing.
Dessert options are a bit too less, with the current crowd, a big desert lineup wouldn't hurt as people don't look at the pricing before savouring on some awesome desserts.
Drinks were kickass and inventions like the Maggi missiles, with a bit more seasoning and cheese would definitely stand out as a signature dish.
Overall it was an awesome experience, the service is good and staff is courteous. the atmosphere is generally party-like, since we went in the afternoon... the crowd was less but music...
Read moreYou know a place is good when you have such a good time enjoying the food, drinks and music of the place with your bunch of people. Perfect place for your gang to drop by. I was their for the introduction of some new dishes in the menu.
Ambience A totally new and quirky setup welcomes you with vibrant color tables all over. A long bar in front with DJ playing your favourites. A bright setup in the day and a dim disc setup at the night. They also have some old school board games available for everybody in need.
Drinks Tried one of the most innovative combination of cocktails there.
🍷Hoppi Bathtub - recommended A bathtub containing 3 different types of drinks. A white rum based drink filled with inverted Kingfisher along with orange and basil flavours. A treat to eyes and many people livers.Just dunk your straws and have a sip at a go.
🍷Cafe Neto - recommended One the best presentation to present a cocktail. Served on a cone with vodka and chocolate syrup mix along with fresh cream on top. Just hit it hard.
🍷100% ChaGin A mixture of kiwi and wine to must try.
🍷Hop Cycle A whiskey glass topped with vodka and tequilla topped with ice cubes and two marshmallows. Marshmallows are a treat to have but the drink doesnt impress much.

Desserts
🍮Kulfi Panacotta The panacotta was made good and can be tried.
🍮Choco Lava Cake Not the best I have had. A half a minute more in the microwave and it would have worked wonders. My go to dessert.
The service is out of bound and the management deserves a pat on the back for it. The DJ keeps the...
Read moreSaying I am in love with this place would be an understatement. It exudes vibrancy and warmth. I went there on a Sunday afternoon with a few friends and was floored by the ambience, food, drinks and of course the games. You can actually spend an entire day here without getting bored. What’s more, the service is par excellence. Before I write this review, a special thanks to Nihar who was attending us and Chef Moninder who understands the pulse of the crowd and comes up with tasty offerings. Well, we reached there for lunch at around 1 and the place was bright with the sunlight coming in through the roof. It was picture perfect. It’s not a huge space but the décor is lovely. Started off by ordering the famous “Hoppi Bath Tub”. This is great for beer lovers and the presentation is cute. Also ordered the barman special which was a fruity drink with rum and quite classy. Tried the Mai Tai and that didn’t disappoint either. Among the mocktails, we tried a Wingardium Leviosa, Watermelon & Basil Crush, Strawberry & Cream and an Oreo based one. The mocktails were nice and had the perfect sweetness. Also tried the refreshing Virgin Mojito. Coming to the food, you will be amazed at the quantity as they serve a lot for the price charged. A lot of places disappoint but this one surely didn’t. We ODed on cheese that day by starting off with Maggi Missile and the Jalapeno Cheese Bombs. I love the Maggi Missile a lot. Cheese Bombs were oozing cheese and every bite was flavorful. Then we ordered the Good Old Paneer Chilli and you can never go wrong with it. Another starter you would not want to miss is the Chipotle Shroom. It is cooked to perfection. Last but not the least; do not leave Hoppi without trying the ‘Cheesy Nachos Avalanche’. This starter will drive you crazy and if you are a cheese lover, this is a must have. Love the way they pour cheese over the nachos. The non veg starters were equally mind-boggling. We tried two delicious pizzas too – Masala pizza and Truffle Trio pizza. Masala pizza is the best choice for Indian flavor lovers. The cilantro adds magic to the pizza. Truffle trio is also very tasty. Post this, we shared a Paneer Chettinad with rice and trust me, you would not want to have paneer any other way after eating this dish. It is simply superb and full of flavors. We had loads of fun along with the food. Played a game of Jenga. You can even try other games or read a book and chillax. For desserts, we ordered the Choco Block and Kulfi Pannacotta with Bourbon caramel. Personally liked the Kulfi one. Ambience – 5/5 Service – 10/5 Food – Perfect score Drinks – Rocking On the whole, if you want a fun filled afternoon, this is the place to go to. I haven’t had so much fun in a long time....
