Lakeview Milk Bar — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Sometimes you rate the place just because of nostalgia alone. Let me take you down memory lane.... you are a School kid of the late 80’s and early 90’s, its a weeknight, its late... and suddenly your Dad tells you get into the car, we are all going for ice cream 🍨. Ice cream 🍦 during that era, late night (past 2230 hours) was a luxury for any one. Can you imagine the excitement and feeling of a 10 year old kid? Todays millennials will never get this! Anyways, coming back to the present, thats the feeling I get when someone calls me for a late night ice cream 🍨drive to Lake View. Thanks to my aunt for reviving this feeling within me, again!

Now to the review part.

As you approach the ice cream milk shake bar, you are guided to park you car by a friendly security person. PARKING - 8.7/10. During weekends it might be busier.

We chose to order through the in car service ... basically a waiter approaches to your car with the menu, and then you order whatever you want. Everything will come to in the comforts of your car. Our server was great. Even though there was a bit of a wait initially, but all the food was delivered to us at once. Great timing by the staff to get the cutlets hot and the ice creams cold without melting. Our waiter was a young guy from Northern part of India. Forgot to ask his name.

SERVICE - 8.1/10

We ordered savoury which was the Vegetable cutlet and 2 ice creams 🍨 and a cheesecake.

Veg cutlet - 8.2/10 nice and crispy on the outside. The inside had nicely flavoured vegetables. It wasnt pasty like many other places. Served with a side of green mint chutney and ketchup and a side salad. Definitely recommend this on the menu. Ice creams - 8.5/10 Here the ice creams dont have much complains. Be it scoops or sundaes. All are good. Both ice creams were good. I didnt personally taste them but my aunt, mom and dad enjoyed it. New York Cheesecake - 8.8/10 Saving the best for the last. This is one of the best cheesecakes I have had on Bengalooru since my return from the USA 🇺🇸. The crust is good and the cream cheese is great. Perfect balance of sweetness and sourness.

Poor Service and Plastic Found in Cake at Lakeview Milk Bar on MG Road, Bangalore

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Lakeview Milk Bar on MG Road in Bangalore, and I must say that I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of their service and the shocking discovery I made in my black forest cake. It is with great regret that I write this review to warn others about the subpar experience I had at this establishment.

First and foremost, the service at Lakeview Milk Bar was abysmal. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive, failing to provide even basic customer service. It took an excessively long time for them to acknowledge my presence, and when they finally did, their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. It was clear that they lacked any sense of professionalism or a genuine desire to cater to their customers.

However, the real shock came when I bit into my supposedly delicious black forest cake, only to find a piece of plastic lurking within. Not only was this a disgusting and unhygienic discovery, but it also raised serious concerns about the quality control standards employed by Lakeview Milk Bar. It is absolutely unacceptable for a food establishment to serve a cake with foreign objects in it, putting the customers' health at risk.

In conclusion, my experience at Lakeview Milk Bar on MG Road was an absolute disaster. The poor service, coupled with the shocking discovery of plastic in my black forest cake, has left me utterly disappointed. I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of this establishment if they value their money, time, and most importantly, their health and safety. Lakeview Milk Bar must seriously reconsider its approach to customer service and quality control before it irreparably damages...

To start with The Eclair we had was like rock & stale. Yesterday's unsold ones I guess which the owner or workers refused to eat was given to us 😊. Lamb burger was cold & Chicken was burnt in another burger. Five star chicken at Rs 80 is better😁. I have gone here a few months back & food was decent & hence the return back to this disappointing episode on my Birthday yesterday 😄

We had a broken rusty AC machine kept with dirty table wiping clothes hanging around the place. Get decent wipes first please. The waiters use these dirty clothes & with the same hand walk into the toilet next door & then gave us the spoons to eat. They have a bad habit of staring & commenting on the first floor. Ground floor has old waiters with their set of attitudes but are far better in nature 😊. Get a table downstairs is the moral of the story 😁.

A dude came out of the office on the first floor & was walking all around talking on the floor with attitude. If you are the owner please go down and talk. We come there to peacefully eat & not see you in our face.

They are surviving on their Old glory days stories. With this Quality & Attitude at this place God help 😊. Attitude was as if we were eating for free & they were doing us a favour. Water, spoon and forks were given after ages & after repeated requests. Food is a joke for the money you pay.

Change your attitude and survive. Else you will be history soon😊. Kids will start something new & you will be just a Kodak moment in history😊. If Kodak could close down then you are a nothing😊. Please change for the good is the request.

Altogether a big Namaskara to Lake view MG Road branch & will surely not return 😊. From a Namma...
