Haven't been to this place, but I have ordered twice from here on Swiggy. This review is about my recent order on 08/10/2024 Grilled chicken - This is a complete package. It consists of a juicy salad, mashed potatoes, aloo tikki, omelet and a chicken Breast. In USA or Canada it's usually Steak in place of chicken. The salad was amazing 10/10 I felt the mashed potato was a lil bland, it could be more flavourful. But when you eat it with the other items, it's a perfect fit - 7/10 The aloo tikki was good, well seasoned and good crust on the outside. The omelet was good as well. Now the main item - the grilled chicken - honestly chicken breast is something I don't prefer unless it's in pakora, coz it's very chewy and hard to cut through. It could have been chicken thighs instead of breast. However, the meat had a good sear, well seasoned and browned on the outside. The juice of the meat was flowing on the surface of the meat. But when I cut it, I got what I expected, the white chewy meat. I had to dip it in the juices to make it taste good. So it's a 7/10
White Sauce Penne Alfredo pasta - this was kind of sweet, I don't prefer that. I like it to be a bit spicy, atleast I should get the masala taste from the gravy. But it was definitely better than the next dish I ordered. - 8/10
Aglio e olio spaghetti - Now, I'm not a masterchef of spaghetti but I know this much that spaghetti should be dry but covered in sauce. This spaghetti was covered in oil, it felt like someone has dipped the noodles in oil and packed it. Coming to the noodle, Spaghetti DOES NOT MEAN CHOWMEIN NOODLE!!! It was definitely chowmein noodles. I was very disappointed with it. Also there was no sauce!! So it was just oil covered chowmein, you can say. - 3/10
They gave two pieces of bread, I guess that goes with the pasta. But it was pav bhaji bread, not the hard crusty bread that should be served. I mean idk what I should feel about it. It wasn't even buttered, it was dry as sand when I took a bite. I had to throw it away.
I would like to visit this place in person sometime, for a better understanding of their service. For now, this is all I...
Read moreWhat was so wrong that I rated it only 3/5 ???
We visited the cafe during Durga Puja. Since we had no prior booking, we had to wait. All the waiting would have been compensated if the food had been up to the standard. but, sadly for us, it was below standard.
I have heard a lot about this amazing cafe, and also it holds a really good ranking in the cafe lists, but perhaps it was our bad luck, that we didn't get to enjoy that charm, that prime.
The staff was great, can't deny that, and even we met the owner, and she was really hospitable. The decor is cozy, but a bit congested.
The food that we ordered were -
Chicken Fingers: Those six pieces with the tartar sauce was the best dish that we had there.
Chicken Stroganoff: The presentation was unique. As I have never seen Stroganoff being presented in a bowl with the vegetable sticking out from the side. Unfortunately, the dish was really sour. When we asked for assistance, the owner herself came up and explained that it was due to the usage of some "brown sauce".
Baked Chicken: This was another good dish that we had. Hot cheesy pasta, with chicken slices and mushroom, it was pretty delightful. It was served with a complimentary bun.
Chicken Penne Pasta: Another flop dish. We ordered a mixed sauce pasta, and the sauce was again too tangy.
Baked Alaska: This is one of their recommended dishes, and it was quite okay.
After all these dishes and the disappointment we suffered, the only good thing was, they didn't apply GST. So, we only paid for the dishes and no extra charges.
I intend on visiting this place again, to see what exactly went wrong the...
Read moreLife is all about finding happiness and little silence when you want to be with you. Like while having food i dont like disturbance and want to concentrate on what i am eating. That is what i found out when i landed up to this location. Located at Sector 1 just 5 mins walk from City Centre this small beautiful looking cafe is a place to relax. The silent location between the residential gives it a special touch. Decent sitting of around 30-40 people with couple of table and chairs. The LCD tv plays the sports and music for you. Reached here with a friend for a hangout and little chitchat session. I was not very sure about this place and seeing its location made me little confused but slowly i found that this is very relaxing with so noises of the people and transport and you can hear a whisper of the person sitting opposite to you. Started my order with the Masala tea and Virgin Mojito and both were very good with the taste and fizz. Moved on to order main course and it was Veg Ratatouille which contained butter rice with vegetables and french fries. Ending it with a dessert is a must and we tried Chocolate Monte Carlo which was yummy, 3 scoopes of ice cream from top to bottom with choco...
