“HAKA” is of the casual dining restaurants in Kolkata serving authentic Chinese buffet at a reasonable price. They are located in two well-known Malls in the city i.e. in Mani Square Mall-Kankurgachi and City Centre 1- Sector 1, making the dining even more exciting and attractive.
This restaurant being one of the best buffet options in town has a huge range of fast bites, Dimsums, and complete meals. Their alluring menu at a reasonable cost of ₹ 450/- (inclusive of taxes) per head in a refined and vibrant dining room, designed especially to attract the youth was indeed a successful endeavor.
The first thing that captured our attention was a warm welcome and the smiling faces of the staff. Nothing can be more pleasing than good behavior and warm greetings. Being the first customers of the day, within 20 mins of the restaurant opening hours, we had witnessed the continuous footfalls in the restaurant hence making us feel even more confident about our decision to dine here.
Now coming to the ambiance, this place is aptly designed for the young crowd, with bright and vibrant décor intensifying the charm of the restaurant. While we were busy noticing the beautification of the restaurant, the starters were served to us. Steaming hot Chicken sweet corn soup was placed on our table which was a good start. Since we had opted to have Non- Veg everything was properly lined-up by the management. The dishes were served one after another timely. While savoring the Chicken Dimsums and Chicken Drums of Heaven served right after the soup, we noticed a placard on the table which offered a prawn starter at an additional cost of ₹ 65/- only, thus encouraging us to have yet another lip-smackingly delicious dish. The starters alone had filled our famished selves, thus making it difficult to enjoy the main course to our heart’s content. Even though the Egg Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Schezwan Hakka Noodles, Chilli Chicken, Chilli Fish and several other veg dishes were enticing, we decided to have a little in order to relish our deserts. Finally, the four flavored Ice-Creams, Darsaan, with additional toppings and sauce...
Read moreHAKA is a must visit for each nd every food lovers, especially having a strong fascination for some delectable Chinese cuisine. Though, this was not my first visit but I keep returning to HAKA because their food is simply "addictive". Not only chicken and fish/prawns (priced in the range of 300-450/- per plate) but you can also tickle your taste buds with the spicy taste of some of the most elegant and mouth watering pallets of lamb as well. And hey, did I miss out liquor? Yes, of course. You can also sip in in your favourite hard drink as you quench your indomitable hunger with the lip-smacking plate filled with smoking hot food lying right in front of you waiting to enter your mouth. They do serve some fine and delectable wine as well not to forget, pitcher beer which is very soothing in this hot and humid weather of Kolkata. Sitting arrangements are cosy and great in a nutshell, staffs are extremely well behaved, food presentation is marvellous.. As for the price is concerned, this restaurant falls under "expensive" category but their buffet on weekdays is very pocket friendly (567/- + tax) per person but I am not very sure whether they serve buffet on weekends. But when it's about quality, I believe you are ready to shell out some extra bucks. A beautiful place to dine out with family & friends, and especially kids. For kids, buffet rate is half the rate of adult, so pocket-friendly for kids as well. Liquor is a bit expensive as...
Read moreGreat pocket friendly Chinese Buffet. Food quality is awesome. Buffet spread is not so huge but limited, but limited food teast wise is very good each and every item. Also they have a nice huge A le carte menu where you can also choose items as per need. Much recommended dish has to be momos and spring rolls. Momo wrappers are so thin and perfectly goes with stuffing and steamed exactly how much needed and spring rolls are crisp from outside and juicy from inside. Every bite is similar to heaven. I personally prefer A la carte menu as that is made so perfectly each and every Chinese dish as per our Indian needs, they always kept in mind about our Indian palate. I had a great experience many times and have enjoyed both Buffet and A la Carte menu. Buffet is also not bad at all but you will be having limited choices but teast wise Buffet is also as good as A la carte. They never compromise with quality and teast. Only one thing they give with bone pieces in Buffet which is little disappointing for me as my personal openion but I'm mentioning again teast is really really great. At last I will definitely mention about Dessert section. For Buffet they keep basic vanila Ice cream and to give chinese twist they keep Darshaan. At last ending with Cold Ice cream and crispy Darshaan will definitely steal you're heart. Once again I love this entire restaurant food wise very good and even ambience is very basic but enough to catch...
