Read moreI visited here alone and found they don't serve half a portion of any main course. I thought I won't be able to finish the whole plate but surprisingly when served realised quantity was not that huge.
Talking about serving, they were really quick and served my order within few minutes. Even when I repeated bread they served it quickly.
Palak Paneer @ Rs.220 (2.5/5) Although Paneer pieces were big, soft and felt fresh, the creamy buttery texture in the mouth that you expect from Palak Paneer you won't get it here. Authentic Palak Paneer is supposed to be mild but it was too smokey & spicy due to use of dry red chilli. Lots of chopped onion with a crunchy bite felt odd in this dish.
Breads (3/5) I took Butter Naan priced at Rs.60, it was thin and small for my liking. Also took Tandoori Roti that tasted quite good.
Conclusion I wanted to pay using a card but they hesitated and started forcing me to pay by cash. As per their pricing that is almost Rs.1000 for two I don't know who carries that much cash in this new digital era.
Well seems like they didn't want to pay that 1-2% commission to the bank for card swipe. So the billing counter should improve their service as every other restaurant nearby offers card payment.
Coming to food quality, I felt it was quite ordinary and pricing is quite high. There are more than 20 good restaurants in this area that serve better food quality at an even cheaper price point. You can get better veg food than them at any non veg restaurants nearby. Otherwise just go to Haldiram for Rs.160 they give way better...
Read moreVery Very Average Food
Experience: Dine-In
Visited on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch, ordered a Thali, Hakka noodles and soft drinks. We occupied a table on the first floor for the view from the glass windows. The seating is slightly congested but liveable.
The biggest disappointment was the food itself. Well aware that this is more of a dhaba and not a restaurant, the food was very disappointing.
To start with the thali which is charged around 250/- plus taxes, it had 3 Ghee Tawa Rotis Paneer Sabji, Kashmiri Aloo Dum, Chhole Sabji / Dal (cannot be changed) Veg Pulao / Jeera Rice Papad very very small bowl of bundi raita (may be 20-30 gms) 1 Gulab Jamun
The very fact that thali was actually served with Tawa Ghee Rotis and no tandoori/naan/kulchas were on offer with a thali worth Rs 250/- was disappointing. The reason I am highlighting this is because Thali is a very competitive business and you can get a thali with much better quality, much better variety of sabjis and rotis at same price or even lower at some of the renowned pure veg restaurants in a 2 km radius (not naming any).
They don't fire the tandoor at all during lunch hours which is very surprising. On top of that the paneer sabji was renownedan absolute disaster. The only silver lining was the Pulao which was really nice.
The veg hakka noodles did smell like burnt and was very very average too.
Pros: Located at Noapara signal, easy to locate. Pure Vegetarian
Cons: Food Quality should improve manifolds. Staff behaviour can be improved a couple of...
