I’ve been ordering cakes from here since 2020 and the only reason I’ve rated Flavours Guru 1 star is because there’s no option to give them zero star. There was a time when this bakery used to be good but not anymore. The entire experience of ordering cake from this bakery has been so terrible and disappointing that I’m forced to leave this much-needed review here at 3am.
I had ordered a floral birthday cake for my mom’s birthday and not only was the cake delivered late, it was also extremely dry to taste and atleast a day old, if not more. It was as if we were eating mud. There was no Happy Birthday message anywhere on or around the cake even though they give you the option to choose what message is to be written on the card, while placing the order. It defeated half the purpose of ordering a cake because what’s the point of getting a cake for someone’s birthday if there isn’t going to be a celebratory wish accompanying the cake!? Another laughable thing about the cake was the ribbon that was tied on the cake itself because it was tied in such a way that removing it literally took 30% of cream & frosting off of the cake. The ribbon was all about aesthetics and not at all about functionality.
Dealing with their customer service is another horrendous experience that I don’t even wish to get in detail of. Just know that you’ll be sparing yourself some sanity if you don’t engage with them altogether. Even after providing the Order ID, they won’t tell you which outlet the cake is being delivered from or what the delivery executive’s contact number is in case it’s needed because they themselves don’t have said information.
The only recourse one is left with after having such terrible experience and getting a close loved one’s special occasion ruined is to leave a feedback/review on Google because doing so on Flavours Guru’s website is futile. All reviews on their website are biased & tainted because they themselves review the reviews first that people leave regarding their cakes before publishing them on the website, which is why there are only 4 or 5 star reviews under their products. Goodbye transparency and authenticity!

I do not know how they reached a 4+ rating, maybe they used to be good - just see all the reviews in the past few months, most are negative and say the SAME THING. Pathetic service Take extra money for "priority" delivery and then refuse to deliver, just tell the people to collect it if they want else no refund will be given. Imagine gifting someone an expensive cake to surprise them on their birthday, then having to call and request them to pick it up themselves, how embarrassing it must feel Unbelievably arrogant people once you pay them the money. Told us to COLLECT IT OURSELVES (THE RECIPIENTS OF A GIFT) because they Don't Have Staff and then cut all calls when we called them after that. It's like throwing your money in the drain - actually WORSE than that because it's not just about money, you are carrying expectations from them to deliver something important on your special day - and you will be hugely disappointed The cake itself - paid 2500, the worth was barely 250 rupees. Broken, tasteless cake, completely wrong flavour, one broken 5-star and one broken dairy milk - total 20Rs - and gems thrown into a small deformed pastry to make it a "chocolate cake". Profit margin 2000 rupees - this is LOOTED money! The positive ratings are probably from them and their family and friends. Or for their other branches other than Delhi. Or only from the past. If still in doubt, just see how they've replied to all the negative reviews. With so much arrogance as if they have a perfect business - and the hundreds of people leaving a bad review are the ones who are stupid. Their shop is non-existent, probably making cakes in their own house or basement, who knows how hygienic or safe to eat, definitely not for gifting to loved ones. Go for reputable and standard bakeries, they will even be cheaper than this bad joke...
had paid an extra amount for a time slot and the cake was not delivered on time, no follow up, no communication was neither done by your team and nor between the porter and the baker. The cake was of a creamy based wherein I had paid money for a fondend based cake, cream was bitter n not sweet, no accountability was taken by your team on it. Even my order had explicitly mentioned that i had asked for a candle with 8 number n was missing from the delivery. I need a refund for the embarrassment I had to undergo as the cake was delivered at 3:15 pm wherein the party wrap up time was 3:30 pm. I was informed around 3 pm that the cake which was ordered a week ago and was supposedly be delivered between 1 - 2 pm will be delivered 10 mins before the end of my event. The price I have paid for the cake was lot higher than the delivered product and with the given quality of the cake. I’m shocked that they were not even bothered to respond to calls or messages except their automated responses about delivery of my cake.
Surprisingly I got the first call after the event was over and that reflected your concern for customers. All you could do was apologise and make up for your unprofessionalism with a gift coupon. I demand a refund not only for paying extra money for the slot but for the cake as the quality of the cream was utterly bad. Even after so many calls and follow ups, I’m receiving WhatsApp message & an email today that I will get a revert by today. Will it matters?
I have read in previous reviews that these guys ask for proof. The WhatsApp chat is available with your team as well. Let me know if u needed it again. My review about them has undergone a 180 degree change.
