Rudest Lady (co-owner, that’s what she told me) I have ever encountered. But LaMia (malviya nagar saved my special Day)

It was my child’s 10th month birthday and after my two order got cancelled because they don’t have writing option on the pastries, I with full fear opted for Sugarama because I remember on 22nd September 2022, it was raining heavily and just to be sure that my order which was delayed for 2 hours would at least be delivered, I called the bakery and that’s when I encountered with the most rudest human in my life, she had no sense of responding in ethics of customer handling and decided to belittle me with the fact that it is raining and I have to wait else I can go ahead and cancel (trust me it was a rudest 1 minute conversation I ever ever had) I was so petrified of this lady that I decided not to speak to her again and never to ordered in future, however was just praying that my child’s 5 month is celebrated well and this pending order gets delivered. Unfortunately, I left with no other option called sugarama as they have earlier had a writing option around the pastries, and luckily or unluckily a man answered and requested for the requirement and only after his approval I placed the ordered, but my hard luck, the pastries I received was ruined and smashed all over the box, I asked the delivery agent to take it back as he said, I delivered what I was handed and just to be safe again (my biggest crime) I called the bakery at around 4:30 pm and this was answered by my nightmare this lady, who said in the rudest manner possible, that they will look into the matter and will send, I tried to explain her my issue but the rude lady decided to shut me up with her non listening skills and continuing with all possible rude words, I wanted to explain that don’t ruin my day I can wait till 8 passing my child’s sleep time but at least tell me that I will have it delivered else I can cancel, to which she said in the rudest manner possible fine then you will receive at 8pm. I feel so humiliated that this lady decided not to listed to a customer and not considering that there is a months old child’s happiness involved, I finally decided to raise n=my voice (FIRST TIME EVER IN MY LIFE) and asked her to stop yelling at me. And I decide to take this up seriously this time and report. I got the order cancelled and the rude lady called me up just to say that they wanted to deliver the pasty but I declined it and now it will not be delivered. This entire scenario could have been avoided it this rude lady for once can just say in a customer centric manner, don’t worry we will get this delivered, we too don’t want unhappy customer, period. Nobody would like to ruin their special day and it was a special day for me and I thought that being a disciplined customer I can at least get customer concern for the co-owner. You can own 10 restaurant/bakery but you have no rights to belittle people. We all our kings and queens of our own world, we have fought battles in our personal lives and been through a lot, therefore, we need to respect each other, and when we work there are certain work ethics and language that we need to follow. Nobody likes to pay for chaos, we all look forward when we order and sometime such things happen, therefore, some polite manner is of no harm, which the rude lady decided not follow. Therefore, I would not say anything about the food, but with such attitude I would never (swear on my father) would go for...

Sugarama is hands down one of the best pastry shops in town! They always whip up the most delicious desserts that keep us coming back for more.

On our latest visit, we dug into their Kunafa Chocolate Strawberry Dessert Tub, Strawberry Matcha Tres Leches, Mango Lemon Tart, and a Boozy Shot (an old favorite!). Every treat was beautifully made, with flavors and textures that just hit the spot.

The Kunafa Tub was super rich and indulgent, while the Tres Leches had this moist sponge cake topped with fresh strawberries and a hint of matcha. The Mango Lemon Tart struck a great balance, with a nice tanginess paired perfectly with sweetness.

What really makes Sugarama stand out is the love and care the owners put into their creations. You can really feel their passion in every bite!

The products are fantastic. What I truly enjoyed is that the cakes/pastries do not get overwhelmed by the tastes of sugar and cream, which allows the natural flavours of fruits, chocolate, alcohol to meld with the rest of the pastry ingredients in the best proportions so that a different and quite sublime taste is delivered. I deeply appreciate that. The peach elderberry pastry, the piñacolada, the classic tiramisu, the berries and cream and the raspberry chocolate done are the products we tried and absolutely swear by. But they have a massive range that I've not explored yet. I just hope that they open an outlet in Central/New/North Delhi so that delivery...
