Haji Mohd Chicken Fry – A Flavorful Delight

⭐ Rating: 4/5

Haji Mohd Chicken Fry is a hidden gem for fried chicken lovers, offering a unique and flavorful take on this classic dish. The standout feature of their chicken fry is the perfect blend of spices, which sets it apart from the usual fried chicken you find elsewhere. The seasoning is well-balanced, with a mix of bold, aromatic spices that enhance the taste without overpowering the natural flavor of the chicken.

The texture of the chicken is another highlight—crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside. The golden-brown crust adds a satisfying crunch with every bite, making it an absolute delight. The spices seep deep into the meat, ensuring that the flavor is consistent throughout and not just on the surface.

One of the best things about Haji Mohd Chicken Fry is that it’s a must-try spot for spice lovers. The unique seasoning gives it an authentic and slightly fiery kick, making it a memorable experience for those who enjoy bold flavors. Whether eaten on its own or paired with a side of naan, chutney, or even a simple salad, this chicken fry is bound to leave you craving more.

That being said, while the taste is exceptional, consistency can be an issue. There are times when the chicken may not be as crispy as expected, especially during rush hours. Additionally, the service can be a bit slow, particularly when the place is packed, which might test your patience.

Pros:

✅ Incredible spice blend – bold, flavorful, and aromatic ✅ Perfectly crispy exterior with juicy, tender meat ✅ A must-try for lovers of spicy fried chicken

Cons:

sometimes not as crispy ❌ Service can be slow during busy hours

Final Verdict: Haji Mohd Chicken Fry is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys well-spiced, flavorful fried chicken. While there are occasional inconsistencies, the taste and quality of the spices make it worth trying at least once. Go during non-peak hours for the best experience, and be prepared for a delicious,...

Chicken Fry - Rs. 130/- (Single normal piece) - 3.5/5 Hello Foodies, At last I got a chance to visit this legendary place. I heard lot about this place from food vloggers and was craving to try their famous chicken fry. To say I am not much satisfied with the taste as claimed by others, it was okay for me. Maybe it’s because of the spices and taste that I used to eat. It was a different type of fry, they serve it with rumali roti and a gravy which all together tastes good. You can buy it as single piece/ piece of your choice and even in half and full quantities. So talking about the place, it is located near Jama Masjid in a food street you can name it as all over I was able to find different food items served in different shops. Do not expect a very classy dine in, there is a space to sit which you can see in the image, guess they have seating upstairs too not sure about it. Lacks a bit hygiene but still the place is fine. The place is usually crowded but I had on a weekday that too at a odd time so was able to get the meal in very less time. This man was seated like and that was how I was able to locate this place easily later some other young guy was seated over there when he left. Do not expect parking space for your vehicles here, try parking it somewhere away from this street and I would suggest you to take a walk and explore the food varieties.

I ordered one single piece which costed Rs.130 and then 2 rumali rotis which costed Rs.10 and gravy was provided free with some onions. So total meal costed me Rs. 140/- , if you opt for single chest piece then it would cost you Rs.150/- for chicken fry and then rumali as per your choice.

I would suggest everyone to give it a try, some might like this some might not. Totally depends on your tastes. It won’t disappoint...

Haji Moh Hussain Restaurant near Jama Masjid in Delhi is a name that resonates with anyone who loves authentic Mughlai food. Situated in the bustling lanes of Old Delhi, this eatery has built a legacy of serving traditional dishes that bring alive the flavors of the city’s rich food culture. The place is especially known for its fried chicken, which is crisp on the outside yet tender and juicy inside. The use of traditional spices and slow cooking methods adds a unique taste that you won’t easily find elsewhere.

The atmosphere is simple, with no fancy interiors, but the real charm lies in its old-world vibe and the aroma of freshly cooked food that fills the air. The seating may feel crowded during peak hours, but that is part of the experience when dining in Old Delhi. Despite the rush, the staff is fairly quick in serving orders, and the prices are very reasonable for the generous portions offered.

Along with fried chicken, their kebabs and curries are highly recommended. Many visitors also enjoy pairing the dishes with hot roomali roti or tandoori roti, which complement the flavors perfectly. It’s a true delight for meat lovers and a must-visit spot if you’re exploring Jama Masjid or Chandni Chowk.

Overall, Haji Moh Hussain Restaurant is not about luxury or comfort but about experiencing authentic, flavorful Mughlai street food in its purest form. If you want to taste the true essence of Old Delhi’s food culture, this place should definitely be...

I’ll be chasing the dragon that is this chicken for the rest of my life. We did a great food tour and our guide brought us here as the second to last stop. Jam-packed on both upper floors were table after table of families and friends just chowing down on the most magical chicken I’ve ever had. As an American with a sensitive tummy but not an aversion to heat or spice, this place didn’t disappoint. Clean. Tasty. Perfect. Chicken was cooked to order in giant bubbling cauldrons out front. It’s a million degrees. But some uncle is perched next to his fire tossing in mounds of marinated and then breaded chicken. It’s cheap. Very cheap. But hot and crispy and delicate and juicy. Go there. Do not let anything deter you. The street is madness. No problem. You don’t speak the language. Get someone to help or google translate. There’s no seating. Eat off your plate standing. It’s worth it. You order by the chicken, half chicken, or smaller. Pieces are cut up for you. There is a simple chili powder based sauce, some onions. It doesn’t look like much. But it rocked all of our socks.
