Dom Pedro — Restaurant in Goa

With the ongoing pandemic it is difficult to find a sit-down place, but we found Dom Pedros cafe on the Pajifond road.

tiny place with lot of snacks to serve including veg and non veg and your typical goan snacks as well. the chicken roll and chicken patties was good but their beef croquet , beef patties was dry and lacked flavor. but their prices are way too expensive and it wasn't worth the price we paid for.

also be careful, they will urge you to taste an item and quietly add it to the bill, which was surprising. I am definitely not visiting...

Taste wise it is good but where this place truly shines is with its owners and staff's hospitality. It's quite a popular place among locals and I could see your generations of people visiting and bonding with the staff. They do serve beef and pork dishes so it's recommended to ask what you are having beforehand. I tried to have as many small dishes as possible and I think they were good, nothing out of the world but very homely and humble. This is a very old bakery in Margao, much written about, so I entered with high expectations. The staff were friendly and efficient. I bought a selection of snacks, one of every item on the top shelf of the glass display cabinet, samosas, cutlets, rissois, sausage (chorico) roll etc. I have to say I was underwhelmed, flavours lacked punch (apart from the chorico) and textures were so, so.
