The service was terrible, the food mediocre. A street food vendor has better service and attention to detail. This is surely NOT fine dining. Service issues: No water served at all for the entire meal. Had to ask for it afterwards Once seated, they brought out wet towelettes to clean our hands, but were cold! They need to be served hot / steamed Ordered one type of naan, brought another Had to ask for a finger bowl to clean hands at the end of the meal Overall choppy and inconsistent service Food Issues: Soup was luke warm despite asking them to bring it piping hot The dishes we ordered had an odd taste, not really up to mark. Dishes did not taste freshly made. Seems like they don't cook fresh daily. The Naan and Roti were not good at all - hard to break off In conclusion, for the class in which the restaurant is categorized and the amount of money they are charging, it is pretty bad service and mediocre food. They do not seem to have it together by a long measure. The only saving grace is the ambience and the live music, which was good. It seems like they are relying on that a little too much. If you are pretentious enough to go there just for the name so you can post pictures on social media or boast about it to others, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, it's not that great.

Read moreI went to the Bay leaf restaurant today which in now in Meridien instead of Marriott. The food experience was average, average food taste with relatively smaller portion sizes but premium price, of course. The options were limited which is fine. What really put me off is that, I went on a two wheeler with my friend for convenience and the guard at the main exit just mistreated us for that. When we took an exit from the basement parking, there was only one exit board which indicates that the exit from Meridien is from the front main gate. When we went there, we were stopped almost a few inches before the gate and security person told us very rudely that two wheelers are not allowed from here and that we should take the exit from the other side. I can understand that it must be his duty to do so but there's a way and manner to convey everything. Even when I have a car, I take two wheeler when I am going anywhere nearby to avoid traffic. I went to the ITC on two wheeler too and there were no such tantrums and ofcourse there was no separate entry or exit. Highly disappointed by the way the Meridien staff treat people, judging their status by these things that shouldn't really matter. I'm definitely not going back to any of the Meridien...
