CLASSLESS Staff, Distasteful Attitude, and Delusional Mentality for such a Downmarket Place!! Would give a 0 star and a tight slap if I could !
On June 23 , we were attending an Engagement reception in the basement banquet of a friend. Naturally all of us ( approx 6 couples in our late 20s ) were dressed in traditional formal attire. Around 3pm, after the event we decided to drop by Java Plus for some coffee before leaving. Generally we dont even come to Courtyard Marriot nor Java Plus ( Not in the last 10 years ) owing to better options available in the city and the downtrodden state of this once “exclusive” hotel.
The moment we entered, we noticed the manager, SAYAN, have a scowl on his face and we overheard him direct his waiter to get rid of us. He made a rude hand gesture and a frown and told the waiter “ INKO BOLO YAHA SE JAAYE”. The full cafe was EMPTY yet the waiter told us “ the cafe is reserved. We dont have space for you. You will have to leave.” We were rudely ushered out the the empty cafe !
While waiting for the valet, we decided to confront the female general manager at the hotel reception desk who we later took to meet SAYAN. For 15 minutes this coward manager of the cafe refused to come out of the kitchen. The lady general manager made an excuse he isnt around even though he was hiding inside. When he later came out, he completely denied his bhevaior and turned into a complete wimp gaslighting us ! AND HIS CAFE WAS STILL EMPTY and the imaginary reservations they had made was obviously a lame excuse.
Let us show you some reality to snap your lowlife classless staff out of their delusional attitude : Your hotel is always empty. Your cafe is always empty. Nor is it known for food nor crowd ! You arent even in the top 10 hotels in the city. No elite/uppermiddle class crowd even comes to this place for food or stay. Taj, ITC, new Marriot and many other options are there ! Maybe a decade ago people used to come to your cafe as a “IT” place . But those days are long gone. There are much better places where people hang out . Food quality and selection isnt up to the mark There is no maintenance nor upgrade to this pathetic place. It’s the same since its launch in the early 2010s ! Only time someone even bothers coming to this place is for exhibitions or and event in the banquets !
Despite a failing hotel and a cafe, you people have the audacity to rudely evict guests who would have probably ordered food/drinks worth 10k-15k. Neither do you have any class NOR ANY BUSINESS SENSE.
Also if the reason to not serve us was our traditional attire, THEN SNAP OUT OF YOUR COLONIAL HANGOVER AND WESTERN VALIDATION. We are in India. And wearing Indian doesnt make you incapable of paying the bills ! Just like wearing a western suit doesnt make you a businessman !
So all you lowlives deserve is an empty cafe ! And Sayan, if you are reading this, get the balls to say things to our face and not hide behind your staff/kitchen like a WIMP ! And also...

Read moreSubject: Extremely Disappointed with Service at Java Cafe
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received at your Java Cafe location. As a regular customer who frequents branded coffee shops like Java Plus, I expected a certain level of quality and customer service, which unfortunately was not met during my recent visit.
Upon ordering my usual Chavani special coffee, I was appalled when the barista outright rejected my request to have the coffee tested before serving it to me. This lack of willingness to accommodate a simple request is not only disrespectful but also reflects poorly on the standards of customer service at your establishment.
As a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with respect and consideration, especially when it comes to something as simple as ensuring the quality of the product I am purchasing. The fact that my request was dismissed without any regard for my satisfaction is unacceptable.
I am deeply disappointed by this experience and can confidently say that I will not be returning to Java Cafe in the future. It is disheartening to see such a lack of regard for customer satisfaction, and I hope that you take this complaint seriously and make the necessary changes to improve your...
