A Culinary Odyssey at Ryba Cafe and Dining: Exploring Turkish and Middle Eastern Delights Nestled on the second floor of Crosspoint Mall in Gurugram, Ryba Cafe and Dining beckons with the promise of an authentic Turkish and Middle Eastern culinary adventure. Intrigued by the buzz surrounding its signature dishes like Pide, shawarma, kebabs, and falafels, I embarked on a maiden visit to this gastronomic haven, eager to savor its offerings. As I stepped into Ryba, I was immediately struck by the inviting ambiance and the tantalizing aroma of spices wafting through the air. The decor, with its subtle nods to Turkish and Middle Eastern influences, created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. My culinary journey commenced with the Alinazik Kebab, a dish fit for Ottoman royalty. The creamy baba ghanoush, topped with soya chunks and burnt chili butter, served alongside freshly baked Pita bread, was a delightful introduction to the flavors of the region. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, leaving me craving for more. Next on my tasting itinerary was the Iskender Kebab, a dish inspired by the legendary chef Iskender Efendi. The chargrilled chicken, smothered in hot tomato sauce and nestled atop toasted pita bites, adorned with butter and yogurt, was a revelation. Its rich and robust flavors, coupled with the comforting familiarity of the accompanying bread, made it a true standout. For the main course, I opted for the Sac Kavurma, a traditional Gaziantep specialty that showcased the artistry of Turkish cuisine. The succulent mutton, sautéed with onions, tomatoes, sweet peppers, and southern provincial spices in a cast iron skillet, was a symphony of flavors. Paired with freshly baked lavash or manakeesh bread, it was a feast fit for royalty. The menu at Ryba boasts an array of tantalizing options, including the Mutton Charsi Karahi, Pottery Chicken Kebab, Kuzu Güveç, Peshawari Namkeen Gosht, Turkish Dolmas, Mutton Gyro, Chicken Urfa Kebab, and Champaran Meat, each offering a unique culinary experience. No meal at Ryba would be complete without indulging in their exquisite desserts, and I was not disappointed. The Baklava, with its layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or honey, was a decadent finale to my culinary odyssey. Throughout my dining experience, the service at Ryba was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The beautiful decor added to the charm of the outlet, creating a truly immersive dining environment. In conclusion, my maiden visit to Ryba Cafe and Dining was a culinary journey that exceeded all expectations. From the tantalizing flavors of the Alinazik Kebab to the comforting warmth of the Sac Kavurma, every dish showcased the rich and diverse tapestry of Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine. I left Ryba with a heart full of memories and a palate longing for more, eagerly anticipating my next visit to this culinary gem.

Came to know about this Turkish restaurant, this among very few restaurants in Gurgaon serving good Turkish food. Didn't went with any specific expectation as it was not a planned visit. Locating the restaurant was not straight forward, but it was ok. Even though a weekend, was surprised to see pretty vacant restaurant. Went through the menu and ordered few items as per understanding, as no prams were available so ordered chicken & mutton dishes. Serving was done within acceptable time but could have been less looking at low load. Ordered items like kabab & biryani platter, one chicken and and one handi mutton dish. Baloon nann and garlic naan from breads. From all the items, the kabab & biryani platter was best. Unfortunately the chicken & handi mutton were in same gravey base (capsicum & onion). Found it surprising that while ordering no one pointed out that else would have taken something else. This is generally done by almost all good restaurants whr in servers alert customers. What further surprised me was we even discussed with the waiter while trying to select what to order. The customer interaction can definitely be improved. The Handi mutton was served in normal cast iron tawa. What took away remaining credit is thr was no taste of chicken or mutton in the gravy, as they were not cooked in it and were just added. Was very disappointing for me. The garlic nan & balloon nan were good. To end with Kunafa sweet dish was ordered, something we do when ever we go in any speciality restaurant. It was good and well balanced. Few may find the sweetness little less but was ok for us. Overall I feel it could have been better with some interaction & may be better testing food. May be another visit some other day can give a better experience. Will top up then.

Decided to go to RYBA @ Crosspoint and it turned out to be one of the best meals of this year for us - that we ended up hogging ! If anything, we just felt that the portion sizes were kinda-"balanced" (not too much). And while the Portion sizes were a little lesser, that could be attributed to the fact that the Dishes were reasonably priced, so we just ordered a dish extra and yet were able to clean up everything! We started with Iskender mutton Kebab (which is one of their "signature" dishes as per the menu). First glance and you might feel that you are having a Turkish version of a Chaat 😁, and can't blame of Indian taste buds jumping to that conclusion, coz it does have enough Yogurt in the preparation, but it was a decent. I'd say that proportion of Yogurt & hot tomato sauce could be a relooked at, but was nice nevertheless. No complaints. Turkish Mutton Chops & Chicken Urfa Kebab. A half-and-half dish where we can mix & match between a few kebabs.. Habibi Shawarma Pide (Turkish Pizza). Yumm ! Mutton Adana Seekh Kebab. We somehow got reminded of our Sharma ji & his Farmer's kitchen which closed a few years back. Alinazik (Chicken served in Babaganoush). Believe me, this is the best Baingan bharta dish your kids can have without realising what they are having + loving. And we wound up the fantastic meal with their Kunafa ! Wifey loved the authenticity of the preparation that she asked the manager to share the number of their vendor that provides them with the ingredients. I'm sure something serious is cooking in her mind 😅 Booked via Dineout, with a 20% discount. #RYBA #turkish #crosspoint
