Scotch scares me.
There is something inherently baller about someone who just craves the burn that only whiskey can provide.
Pardon my gall for having started my review from desserts first... but #WhiskyAndBurntCaramelTiramisu ??!!
Now this has got to be an anomaly.
On a subtly lit table, a plump martini glass is lined up for me in order to taste this concoction.
With its strange salty flavour, antiseptic aroma and fiery scorch as it goes down, isn't Whisky a drink for the likes of the very dignified Sean Connery alone ?
#WhiskySamba is it’s own phenomenon and Chef #AkshayBhardwaj, you have given us a perfect after-dinner libation in the form of some avant-grade whisky laden dessert.
Whisky and Burnt Caramel Tiramisu : 🔝
5 textures of pineapple : Each element in this dessert is a little bit of joy on its own; layers, piled one on top of another, they make an irresistible combination. Didn't want to share this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Berry Bubble : Fruity and visually stunning, it wasn't my first choice. Good taste. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Then the headliners ...
Bourbon Duck Berry / Truffle Mushroom Bao : a fluffy, pillowy bun comes stuffed with some dramatic fillings. A couple of chomps and they are gone.. the giant PAC Man in me attacking tiny ones. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pork Ribs : The rib aficionado in me needs to reevaluate my feelings towards this succulent and undeniably seductive meaty dish. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lamb Chops : Yes, yes, yes, I am not just recommending the lamb chops, but straight up telling you to order them. These are sure to be a crowd pleaser. 🔝
Salmon Carpaccio : I didn't taste it but my co diners rated it as the one of the best.
Salmon on Skewers : Again, didn't eat, but others seemed to like it, if not love it.
Akshay has got to be one of those natural hosts, who is equally at ease chatting with his diners as he is while producing dish after dish with an impressive sleight of hand. Very impressed.
Ambience : Busy and a bit noisy. The vibe at the restaurant says that it seems to take very healthy bookings.
Cheers to you, whisky lovers 👍
May we all one day ascend to your level.

Read moreMy friend took us over to the place as part of his wife's birthday celebrations. We had a booking for 9 pm but since we got delayed, we had shifted it to 10 pm, which Whisky Samba had agreed. This was on a Saturday.
Unfortunately it was a day before before polling and we knew that drinks wouldn't be served, being a dry day. We were going only for the ambience and food.
The place is huge with adequate seating and comfortable chairs.
Disconnect 1 - No welcome drink even for a group of 10 people.
Disconnect 2 - Green leafy design Wallpaper work in the washroom was being put and the task of cutting the paper etc. was happening right in the main area.
Disconnect 3 - Somehow the food didn't measure up to our taste. Tried dimsums ( broth was too acidic), Sattu paratha with mushroom was ok, lemon rice with pahadi chicken disappointing, plus a dish with some rice pakoda with some chicken and sauteed spinach n greens...didn't tickle my tastebuds at all.
Disconnect 4 - The wooden partition in the Men's washroom was broken and needed repairs.
Disconnect 5 - The whisky bottles on the display behind the bar were covered with a untidily put black plastic, looking simply abnoxious. I am sure that there's a much better way of meeting the Dry day compliances.
Plus point was the service promptness since there was hardly any crowd.
I had heard a lot of this place and having reviewed quite a few joints in Gurgaon, I was frankly very disappointed. Usually I do not give such low ratings to a pub / restaurant, but my experience was bad. Maybe those one off days.....
It would take quite some effort to revisit the...

I spent an evening at Whisky Samba (Shops 103–104, Two Horizon Center, Golf Course Road, Gurugram)—a spacious, vibrant bar known for a lively dining scene .
🍸 Ambience & Location
Set on the plaza level of Two Horizon Center, the bar features sleek interiors and an outdoor seating option that’s ideal as the sun sets. Large windows let natural light during the day, and at night the place buzzes under warm lighting and upbeat music . The vibe is upscale but relaxed—perfect for both a casual date or after-work gathering.
🥃 Drinks & Whiskey Selection
As the name suggests, Whisky Samba delivers on whiskey exploration: from Japanese and Speyside single malts to award-winning cocktails, this place is a dream for whisky lovers .
🍣 Food & Pairing
The menu spans Asian, Sushi, Japanese, Modern Indian, seafood, finger food, and desserts. I sampled pork belly, wasabi prawns, tuna sushi and crab cakes along with chocolate soufflé. Presentation was refined, portions moderate, and flavors consistently bold and well paired with drinks .
👥 Service & Crowd
Staff were generally attentive and courteous, though not every table felt equally tended.
❄️ A Few Shortcomings
AC too strong, with the environment as chilly. Small portion sizes, especially in snacks and mains, and occasional service slip‑ups like table-waiting mix-ups during...
