Palm oil mein khaana banane wale mein itna attitude kahan se aata hai?
Visited on 10th April - extremely hot climate, but there was no drinking water. On requesting the manager on duty who was roaming around - was rudely told 'kharid kar peelo, supply nahi aa raha. hum kya kar sakte hain' (and they sell the bottles priced at a premium). I would have bought the bottle nevertheles, but such rudeness and careless attitude at a restaurant is uncalled for. By the way, what water has been the rest of your staff drinking, that you found it so difficult to offer a glass of water.
At the billing counter, the executive was busy gossiping with another female colleague. Despite no one else to be billed, I waited at the counter for 2 minutes till they finished their gossip and then he accepted my basket and remaining order. He was so engrossed in the gossiping ki machine mein galat password enter kar diya and moved to the next machine. Asked him for a specific condiment which was not on the shelf, and the response was "shelf par nahi hai toh nahi hai". Bhai thoda dekh leta stock hai ya nahi, ya kab ayega.
The gossiping was not limited to the billing counter - it was the same story at the food counter too. Guess all of them have an issue either with their manager or the management - sab apne baaton mein mast hain. Haath se token liya and kitchen wale window mein phek diya phir apne baaton mein lag gaye (anyway, guess that's the working style - mera order mil gaya thodi der mein).
All this experience for the effort Haldiram's has been taking to rebrand itself into a 'good customer service' eatery (badge par name+welcome, customer ko dekhte hi greetings karna, fake smile put on karna). But stand near the kitchen counter for a few minutes and you'll notice how hygienic they are behind that window).
Anyway, I haven't named your colleagues here. It's upto you to get your acts right or say ghanta farak padhta hai, log to aate hi hain...
Read moreHaldiram’s never disappoints when it comes to classic Indian street food, and our recent visit was no exception. It’s a self-service setup, but the food quality and flavors make up for it.
Food & Taste
Mutter Kulcha – Soft, fluffy kulchas served with a flavorful, well-spiced mutter curry. A satisfying and comforting dish.
Aloo Tikki with Dahi – Crispy aloo tikki, generously topped with fresh dahi, chutneys, and spices. A well-balanced mix of textures and flavors.
Dahi Bhalle Papri Chaat – A refreshing and tangy treat! The bhalle were soft, the papri added crunch, and the yogurt and chutneys tied everything together perfectly.
Moong Dal Halwa – A rich, indulgent dessert with a perfect balance of ghee, sweetness, and texture. Warm and comforting!
Mutter kachori - Tried for the first time and was filled with mutter masala. Tatstes nice if paired with sweet curd.
Service & Ambiance
Self-service, so you’ll need to collect your own food, but the process is smooth and efficient.
The ambiance is standard—clean and well-maintained, like most Haldiram’s outlets.
Pricing
Reasonably priced for the quality and portion sizes, making it a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal.
Overall Experience
A great place for hygienic, flavorful Indian snacks and sweets. While the self-service model may not be ideal for everyone, the taste and quality make it...
Read moreI visited Haldiram in sector 12 Dwarka after nearly three years. We were 8 persons who retired from Service at very senior class I levels from Central Government and wanted to have a get together and some of us had come from abroad . I was totally shocked and surprised to notice complete deteriorarion of services in the said branch. Everyone in the branch right from the so called managerial staff were completely non cooperative and right from the first level persons who are supposed to serve very curtly told that they cannot serve anything and we will have to go to the counters and pay and take the food ourselves . The biggest thing which made me sad that everyone of the staff and officers seemed to enjoy by denying us even the simplest service like giving hard copy of the sevice menu. They practically seemed to enjoy us working like waiters to fend for ourself. While i found the Haldirams staff to be so nice , in other branches for example one at Murthal ,which left fond memories to our family this branch at sector 12 Dwarka seems to be the best training ground to teach how to harass and humiliate the customers.
I only hope that someone will make efforts to sensitise the staff and senior staff in Sector 12 Dwarka joint. I have decided that i will never visit the said branch in...
