The 2 of us went for dinner and had such horrible experience. First they served the mint lemonade without soda. Then we ordered Hummus platter in which the Hummus was not freshly made. After that we ordered Nepali Thali (Veg & Non veg both). The food was absolutely bland as if they just added some masala to boiling water. It barely had any flavor. Adding to the pain, we found hair in one of the thalis. Upon complaining, one of the servers tried to blame us that sometimes guests put their own hair in food to get out of paying for it. How stupid is that? When we said we won't pay for it, he started arguing that you either have to pay in full or accept replacement. It was 11pm by this time so we decided to pay and not get into an argument and kill our vibes. GO TO THIS PLACE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Soooo Disappointed 🤦🏻♂️
Editing this after the restaurant's response:
This is the 2nd time your restaurant have dared to put a false allegation. First of all, We came for dinner at 10 PM so what you prepared in the morning is obviously not fresh at night considering the hot weather as well. It was 34 degrees even in McLeod.
Secondly, Not once did we tell you that we won't pay the entire bill. All we asked was to not charge us for the one thali we found the hair in. Still we did pay to avoid any argument and kill our holiday vibes. And now i'm glad we did, you liar could have made it a fake issue against us. So stop lying and making a fool out...

By this time, it was 11pm, my friend also put a review for this situation and the restaurant replied falsely that we didn’t want to pay the entire bill but the truth is all we asked was to not pay for that one thali we found the hair in. But they got argumentative and as it was 11 pm we decided not to kill our holiday vibes and decided to pay in full. God knows they could’ve made it such a big issue with the help of the workers. Visit this place at your own risk! Extremely...
Read moreWe were at Jimmy Himalayan cafe (right on the Mcleodganj square) for breakfast on 27th September around 10 in the morning. Ordered : Egg Croissant Sandwich Chicken Sandwich
All the veggies in the sandwich were soggy and stale. Not at all fresh. The presentation of the plate was so bad, they gave odd sizes of tomato and onion salad with the sandwich. Which was really off.
More than anything, the staff at the counter including the one in kitchen played loud Bihari music on the speaker , after repeatedly telling them to turn it off or atleast reduce the volume as it was morning time , they didn’t care. There was a Himachali lady at the counter who also didn’t pay a heed.
I am writing this review solely for the owner to know what kind of environment such a beautiful cafe has to suffer. It was really pathetic. Even the small restaurant on the side - Hungry bird was so calm and nice, but this cafe was ruined.
Also just a tip, if you have tried breakfast at Juniper’s (one right opposite to Jimmy Himalayan) or Snow lion or any other, I would suggest to not step in Jimmy Himalayan during the morning hours as it can be really...
