Juniper Cafe — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

The Juniper is smack bang in the heart of MacLeodganj's small commercial centre. Surrounded by famous cafés and eateries, it stands its ground through great design and interiors and an extensive menu of Continental dishes, with a few ramen noodle dishes thrown in. There are sandwiches, (including ham), croissants, pancakes, hot dogs, burgers and an extensive list of cold and hot coffee, teas, shakes and juices. The interiors impress, even on repeat visits. Warm wooden tones with wooden flooring, warm yellow lights, dominate; making this a very cosy, warm place, even on chilly days. An extensive book collection and old copies of the National Geographic fill bookshelves fixed on the walls, just in case you forgot your own reads. After a not so awesome lunch today, my wife wanted something sweet. Chanced upon this cafe..and must say that it will remain quite memorable! Ordered a Banoffee Pie and a double shot cappuccino. The coffee was good..but the Banoffe Pie was OUTSTANDING! Maybe it was just prepared..it was so fresh and delicate..had difficulty lifting it up by the spoon...what else can I say... I am in Mcleodganj for 3 days..and will be having it everyday {calories my foot!!!} The ambience was excellent..with some foreigners to my left & some buddhist monks to my right and a big shelf of books by my side! The service was prompt and attentive too. Will surely get some dry cakes/savoury like carrot cake, cinnamon roll, croissant etc. packed for my daughter & mother..who are at home...

Loved this cafe. It was very serene, calm and pretty at the same time. You'll meet their dog Lucy there and also get to read lots of books they have in cafe. The chicken croissant sandwich is the best I've ever had. It's just so juicy and flavorful , melts in the mouth. 😍😍The breakfast plate was really filling and pancakes were perfectly soft. Loved the tiramisu , it was really moist on inside. Also this cafe has a wide variety of herbal tea options. Ordered rose tea and got a kettle to ourselves. It's a steal ! 2-3 people can easily have it. Overall loved the whole vibe at this cafe. Eagerly looking forward to...
