Hyderabad’s most happening place at Jubilee hills road no.45 is none other than Fat Pigeon has always kept blazing around the people and in their talks. The nightlife of this place is lit not only that but also ambiance and food speak too for this place. The restaurant is on the top floor and it has been divided into three sections indoor, outdoor seating and open rooftop with a great view of the best place during the night time. I was here for the Saturday brunch for the launch of a new menu and the food was really delicious loved every minute and seconds of time spent here for the brunch. Food – let’s talk about it: Appetizers: Salad Organic Salad (veg): One of the refreshing salad with vibrant colors and amazing flavor and texture. The salad has got fresh ingredients likes lettuce, asparagus, fresh orange slices, can dried walnuts, pomegranate, feta cheese, fresh fig, honey, and mustard vinaigrette dressing. The salad was well tossed in dressing crunch from fresh ingredients and a hint of sweetness from the sugar-coated walnuts. Summer Salad with honey cumin (chicken): An another stunner salad with a similar dressing with fresh and crunchy ingredients. The honey flavor was good not dominating instead enhanced the natural flavors of the ingredients. Starters Fat Chicken wings (Chipotle): The best chipotle sauce I must though the chicken wings were ok but the sauce has made our day not only the meat texture got enhanced but the flavors were well coated on the top of it. Cottage cheese popcorn: I never thought that someday I will be eating paneer popcorn and too this delicious. The outside coated batter was really good but the best part was about its paneer so soft and tendered which has properly absorbed the flavors from batter. Koli Wada: A batter-fried chicken cube’s which has got some tangy flavor outburst in your mouth very well. Best paired with some amazing cocktails on the menu but I liked it with a strawberry based mocktail. Spinach & cheese parcel: This dish is similar to very known dish Burmese parcel wrap a kind of similar texture and taste but got different ingredients more or less I loved one. Fat hats: A crispy glass from shell contains a goodness delicious ingredients to topple with. The crunch from the shell and delicious veg Manchurian balls were damn tasty. Thai basil black pepper chicken: The peppery flavor dish of the day. As the taste was slowly hitting our taste buds. The sweet texture from the sauce apt you can taste it but the heat from black pepper was hitting in our throat slowly after each bite of it. Kasundi Jhinga: My favorite dish/starter we had as we were served with 2 portions of the dish but you know what I ate almost both of them unless anyone noticed it. I just love the marination and cooking style the prawns were so succulent and delicious to resist myself even now. Main course Crispy chicken burger: The overall experience about it was good to love the crispy chicken patty along with the sauces used in it. The taste would have been amazing if the burger buns were fresh. Veggie loaded panini: An Italian bread perfectly grilled on the top and stuffed with the goodness of sauteed mushroom, bell peppers, grilled paneer, caramelized onions, pickled overall ingredients tossed in pesto based sauce which was a little bit over dominating served with jalapeno mayonnaise and French fries. Asian chicken pizza: Everyone loves pizza and we all are ready to have it at any time. This delicious beauty has confused me with its amazing taste and texture as the meat was chicken but the way it was cooked I first thought that it was a mutton pizza but then chef told us it was chicken pizza. I have fallen for it those barbecue sauce on tendered chicken minced meat was lit. The vegetarian pizza: A kind of premium quality veg pizza with lots of cheese mushroom, black olives, zucchini, Bell peppers and artichokes taking it to the next level where even a non-vegetarian couldn’t resist themselves to eat that delicious pizza. As soon as I entered this place last Saturday, the word 'funky' popped into my head. Colourful and unapologetically arbitrary in its décor, the place is a mishmash of several statement pieces that have come together to form a collage so mesmerising that it's difficult to look away. From the yellow bicycle parked near the door to the gunny bag pouch in which they tuck in the cheque, from the cool printed paper napkins to the mirror in the girl's washroom that enquires "Aa gayi tum?" with a resounding boom the moment you enter the loo, from the crazy swings that serve as chairs to a stools made of tyres, Fat Pigeon is unabashedly bold and playfully beautiful. It's all very punk! A fun place to hang out with your buds if you are not easily affronted by style that is far from conservative. Now for the food, we started our lunch by ordering a Cosmopolitan, a Daiquiri (Frozen) and a Long Island Iced Tea. For starters, we ordered: 1. Magic Onion Rings served with spicy mayonnaise 2. Thai Basil Black Pepper Fish 3. Shish Taouk, i.e., grilled chicken marinated Lebanese style and served with sour cream 4. Cottage Cheese Popcorn served with tangy Mexican sauce and 5. French Fries It was all very well presented and went deliciously well with our poisons of choice. But just as we were gearing up to place our order for the main course, we saw the chef carrying a dish up to another patron. Not only did his way of handling the condiments on the plate turn us off, his gesture of wiping the residual sauce on his fingers off on the railing of the wooden staircase to the upper eating area just sealed the deal for us. You see, once hygiene comes into the picture, some standards have to be met. So we ended up finishing our drinks, clicking some photos and leaving.

Fat pigeon was in my bucket list since quite a while. I finally visited them over the past week to try out some of the new additions which they made to their menu. Starting with the place itself, they have got a beautifully rooftop setup and has a really nice vibe to it. One can enjoy live music over there. The next available seating is on the inside with beautiful décor and a classy bar.

Starting with the food, I had their Organic veg salad, cottage cheese popcorn, veg fat hats and spinach cheese parcels.

Organic veg salad- The salad had a beautiful composition of blood orange, crispy iceberg lettuce, caramelized walnuts, fresh figs, feta cheese, pomegranate and a beautiful drizzle of the sweet vinaigrette. It was a great start of the afternoon. I found this salad a great palate cleanser and was a really hearty salad. Must try.

Cottage cheese popcorn- Addictive is all I can say for this one. Bite size cottage cheese was fried with a crispy coating and topped with a spice mix. It was served alongside a tangy Mexican dip which added a great taste to the dish. My personal favorite.

Veg fat hats- This was something new. Crispy shell like hats were stuffed with cottage cheese and herb tossed veggies. The crunchiness of the shell was evenly balanced with the mellow flavors of the stuffing. It was prepared in such a manner that one would get one portion of the hat. The sweet chili sauce served with the hats added a whole new dimension to the appetizer.

Spinach cheese parcels- This was one comforting appetizer. The stuffing was really delicious. This has to be tried by any vegetarian person who wishes to visit Fat pigeon.

For mains, I had their Veggie loaded panini, vegetarian pizza and kung pao rice bowl. Starting with the panini, it had a strong flavor of pesto mayo and was topped with generous portions of mushroom, paneer, gherkins and caramelized onions. The panini was super soft and was just perfect. The dish was heavy yet tasty.

Vegetarian pizza- The pizza had artichokes, black olives, zucchini, sun dried tomatoes over a layer of mellow tomato sauce. The base was thin crust and crunchy, the veggies were evenly placed, the sauce was good. Overall, a refreshing pizza which one could try.

Kung pao rice bowl- This was truly delicious. I would have to say that this one was one amazing dish. The kung pao was just perfect for my palate. I just loved the flavor of the curry thanks to the usage of light soy, exotic veggies and toasted cashewnuts. Highly recommended stuff.

For desserts, I didn’t have any room though yet I gave a shot to their Kesari rava tart, Mille Feuille and Zuccotto. The kesari rava tart was the best of the lot with a delicious rava filling in the tart served on a bed of fresh rabri. Lip smacking indeed. I somehow thought that the puff pastry of mille feuille was overdone and could have been better.

Was here last week for a weekday lunch to try out their new menu. And I have to say I really love the ambiance!

So basically there are many different seating areas. One where beside the bar counter. Another one of two seaters is beside the balcony overlooking the view ❤️ Another one has a huge screen in front for a casual vibe. And my favourite got to be the terrace! Such colorful chairs and tables. It even have some swings, which I absolutely loved ❤️❤️❤️

♥ Crumb Fried Chilly Prawns: This was one of my fav here. The outer coating was very crispy, and the pawns having garlic flavour, tasted delicious ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✅

♥ Jalapeno Cheese Poppers ⭐⭐⭐⭐

♥ Chicken Wings in Chipotle Sauce: This I did not like, the chicken was not properly made. ⭐⭐

♥ Hyderabadi Tawa Macchi: Spice lovers, this one's for you. It is Basa fish having lots of spices in this ⭐⭐⭐

♥ Butter Chicken Arancini ⭐⭐⭐⭐

♥ Mutton Galouti Mini Pita Burger ⭐⭐⭐

♥ Kasundi Jhinga: Another must have. Prawns marinated in mustard sauce & chesse! Must have⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✅

♥ Palak Patta Leaf Chaat: A good snack to have along with drinks ⭐⭐⭐⭐

♥ Spinach Cheese and Corn Parcels: This was my fav among veg. Had loads of cheese, spinach, corn, a must have from this place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✅

♥ Ansari Fish: Another basa fish preparation, but a less spicy one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

♥ Cajun Beer Battered Fish: This was the fav among non veg ones. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✅

Momo's:

I wasn't much impressed with the momos.

♥ Crystal Prawn Dumplings ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ♥ Chicken Dumplings ⭐⭐⭐

Pizza's:

♥ Naan Pizza: This was good. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ♥ Asian Chicken Pizza: The soya sauce was too much in this, which kind of ruined the taste & well as the presentation. ⭐⭐

Main Course:

♥ Say Mac n Cheese: Maccaroni with lots of cheese cream. Loved it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✅

♥ Pesto Spaghetti ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thali's:

I really liked their thalis. Lots of option in such an affordable price.

The dal makhani was very good.
