At first glance I was wondering why this place was #1 on Trip Advisor. Turns out I would come to this place every day while I was in Jodhpur, and now I definitely see why.
The location is very central - right near the infamous clock tower. It is a small venue, but there is both indoor and outdoor seating and it's overall a very cozy place.
First thing to note - the coffee. This is hands down the best place for someone to go if they value excellent brewed coffee (and with a range of choices!). Also, their iced teas and ice chai are scrumptious.
As for the food, there is a small, mostly snack-style menu with a lot of grilled sandwiches and some Indian dishes too. The sandwiches and also the chat are INCREDIBLE if you're after a quick bite (or to share plates between people).
The business is family owned, and the brothers that run the cafe are always so nice and helpful. They offer cooking classes (which I also did), run by the mother, and for 750 rupees for a 4 hour private class learning so many dishes, it was a very enjoyable experience. Could not recommend this...
Read moreThis family run cafe is just AMAZING and we loved it. Lassis are delicious and food in general super good; however, the best is how friendly and GENUINELY nice the people running the place are. They will not take tips (I almost had to fight with them to leave one and still couldn’t manage! :D ) as they just get money for what they actually serve. We got very bad advice before from someone in the street and thankfully we asked this super nice lady that runs the cafe about the fort and she gave us all the info we actually needed. If you are tired of running into people with an agenda to sell you or make money from you, go to this place and take a very needed and nice break from it and enjoy some genuine Indian hospitality, good service and good food!
Thank you so much for the best lunch break so far in India,...
Read moreWe'd gone there for breakfast after looking at the reviews. First, it took us time to search for the exact location. Hardly anyone knew about it. Second, there's a space constraint. Third, it seemed more apt for foreigners than Indians. Fourth, the service was comparatively slow. However, food was good and the owners were quite friendly. Great efforts from the owners to develop the place, but I think having a corner space, they could manage more space out of it by opening up the order and delivery from both the sides rather than taking a complete round for the same. Also the space should be separately highlighted and the cafe should be visible from far, i.e. once a person enters from the gate of...
