The Stepwell Hotel Rooftop — Restaurant in Jodhpur

Ate here for dinner one evening as we were staying at the hotel. When we came up to the restaurant, we were immediately met with a “sorry, we are fully booked tonight. You can have snacks or a drink at the bar”. When I explained that we were not told we had to book a reservation when we checked in, he said “you are staying here? Follow me”. We were taken to the upper floor where we were met with a dining area less than half full. When we did sit down, the rest of the service was fine and the food was only “okay”. Felt sanitised for the western palette as opposed to staying true to their wonderful cuisine. Shame. I would say this was the most disappointing meal in a four week...

One of the most beautiful places to dine and spend a wonderful evening with splendid view of Jodhpur....in true sense a 360 degree view...everything that you look for to a great time out is here.... Stepwell Rooftop Café is a really nice place to hang out. It has a very open and spacious sitting area, and the rooftop gives you a beautiful view of the surroundings. The food quality is good, and the drinks are also nice.

They have both ground floor and rooftop seating, but personally I preferred the rooftop — it feels much better with the open-air vibe and the view.
