Pathetic service. Couldn't even taste the food to write a review on it. I had 25 mins for my boarding to start (a fair amount of margin). Decided to grab some breakfast at 830 am (not too early also) before taking the flight. Stooped at this Terminal 2, Maiyas outlet which was only 60% occupied at the time and there were atleast 4 service agents. Kept raising hand and calling them for over 10 mins and then went myself to pick the menu, waited another 5 mins and ultimately had to shout out loudly to call a waiter. Then I specifically asked the waiter, what can be served fastest as I have a flight to board in 15 mins. He says, idli-vada and bisibelebath can come the fastest as they are ready made, dosa takes 10 mins. I requested him to bring idli-vada and a coffee (readymade too). For another 10 mins, he didn't showed up with the order. Called him again after shouting and requested that I can wait maximum of another 2 mins. The guys said sorry and went to bring my order. This time again he didn't show up. All the while, I kept raising hand to get the attention of the manager who was absolutely lost and wasn't even looking up. Ultimately, I left without getting my order and having my breakfast. Totally disappointed from a luxury outlet that charges 300 Rs for a Idli-vada plate which is available at 50 Rs at any normal outlet in the local markets almost immediately. This is value for the 10X price we are paying at an international airport where time is of most essence.
Kudos Maiyas and it's management team for such a splendid service!!
I suggest all travellers to avoid this outlet. You will only get...
Read moreThis was my first visit to terminal 2 of Bangalore airport departures section Most of the food joints looked international types with pizza and burgers. This looked like the only one serving some Desi food Coming to the food Ordered one Vada idli and chow chow bath with tea Total price 578 Although this is not cheap but at the Bangalore airport everything is expensive Firstly asked the waiter what chow chow bath is . It's upma polilary called khara bath and suji halwa popularly called kesari bath in Bangalore both seperate not mixed. The taste was amazing The Vada was very crispy and yet soft inside The upma was damn tasty They did not have rice idli ready at that time so they served me rava idli with alu sabji which was amazing Tea was soso. Could have been better if it had been masala tea Asked. The waiter for extra sambhar chutney and alu sabji popular as sagu which he promptly brought So service was also nice I have uploaded the menu card for the price reference although the pics are not very clear. Sorry abt...
Read moreI am forced not to give rating higher than 3. Parliamentary courtesies are preventing me from doing so. Maiyas perhaps is the only outlet in KIAL T2 that boasts of Credit and Debit Card Machines not working, but UPI is working. I have had 3 nasty experiences, the latest being today evening. I would humbly appeal to the Management of Maiyas to please take a decision and put up a board that says, 'Only Cash accepted'. Only those customers who have cash will come to have food. I don't want to say anything more. Surprising thing is when Card Machines are working perfectly fine in all other KIAL T2 Outlets, they do not work in only Maiyas. And if UPI payments are working, can someone at Maiyas clarify why Card Payments are going through. Both as per my limited knowledge work on connectivity. And another question is how do you expect guests to carry cash in today's digital era? Will I go back to Maiyas, well only when I have cash on me in...
