I had the pleasure of visiting CTR at Terminal 2 today and what started as a simple quest to find a snack during my layover turned into a truly memorable culinary experience. When I approached the counter looking for something to eat, the service representative was incredibly helpful and recommended their Benne Masala Dosa, which turned out to be an excellent suggestion. What impressed me most was how efficiently the food was prepared and served – the service was remarkably quick without compromising on quality.
The dosa itself was a perfect study in contrasts, featuring wonderfully crispy edges that provided a delightful crunch, while the softer interior portions melted beautifully in my mouth. The masala filling was absolutely divine, bursting with authentic flavors and spices that transported me straight to South Indian comfort food heaven. The dish came perfectly accompanied by both coconut and mint chutneys, each adding their own unique dimension to the overall taste profile.
When I inquired about sambar to complete the traditional experience, something wonderful happened – the store supervisor personally stepped in and graciously offered to provide it for me. I only wanted a small taste since the combination of the flavorful chutneys and the rich masala filling was already more than satisfying, but this gesture really highlighted the exceptional level of customer service at this establishment. The entire experience, from the quality of the food to the attentiveness of the staff, exceeded my expectations completely.
This visit has definitely earned my loyalty – I'm already planning to return on future trips to explore more items on their menu, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to fellow travelers and food enthusiasts. If the management continues to maintain this impressive standard of food quality, service excellence, and welcoming ambiance, I have no doubt that this restaurant will continue to thrive and serve satisfied customers for many...
Read moreWe have been hard-core CTR fan for years together. So when we were at the airport,we happily opted them.
We were disappointed that NO ONE BOTHERED when we entered. All seats were occupied and customers were managing seats themselves. Food took 25 minutes. They said they had to pack parcels hence the delay. We decided to leave and just then the dosa arrived. SOUR TASTING,UNDERCOOKED,WE COULD SEE THE BATTER ON ONE SIDE. We complained and asked to cancel the rest orders. We were aghast when the manager said that If we were in a hurry for the flight, we should not unnecessarily blame the dosa quality. We should not give that as an excuse to leave. By then the rest dosas came. They were cooked but they had a sour taste - not an acceptable taste. DISAPPOINTED, LET DOWN AND UNEMPATHISED, we wasted most of the food. We didn't fight back since we didn't want the long journey ahead, to start with further unpleasantness. HIGHLY PRICED, PATHETIC QUALITY AND MOST MISERABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! A LIFETIME OF GOOD EXPERIENCE IS FORGOTTEN BECAUSE OF THE WAY WE WERE TREATED. NEVER EXPECTED EXPERTS IN THE INDUSTRY TO BE TREATING US THIS WAY !!! NO...
Read moreI've visited the original CTR multiple times, and the food, service, and atmosphere have generally been good.
However, while exiting from T2, I noticed a new outlet and decided to try it with high expectations—only to be completely disappointed.
The food is overpriced, and the service is terrible. You have to wait just to place an order, followed by another 15-20 minutes for it to arrive.
The quality of the food is equally disappointing. The Aloo Bonda was stale, merely reheated in an oven. Worse, my benne dosa had a hair in it, which the staff initially tried to justify as being from the banana leaf. After 10 minutes of back-and-forth, they finally agreed to replace it, and the new order took another 15 minutes to arrive.
To top it off, the waiters constantly hovered around, repeatedly asking if they should bring the bill, showing no basic courtesy to let customers finish their meal in peace. It’s clear they’re only interested in maximizing footfall rather than providing a good dining experience.
I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Save your money and...
