This place is a must visit for all the Fish Lovers. Variety of fresh fishes with moderate prices are sold here by many Fisherwomen. This place is very clean and well arranged. There are many sections/stalls with their stall numbers placed within a complex (building). They keep on calling you while you move around so that you can buy from them. There is a separate cutting room where once purchased if required, they cut and clean the fish. Prices over here are negotiable, so you are allowed to put up your skills and bargain ;)

The place is clean and well maintained. You get a wide range of fishes here on a daily basis. The prices of the fishes are dependent on the seasons. Sales Women usually tend to reduce the prices if you bargain with a good knowledge of prices of fish. Bulk purchase of fishes is also possible here. If you don't know to cut a fish, no worries! They clean and cut the fish and give, but for a price! The tiles are made very slippery for the purpose of cleaning, so one has to be very careful while walking here!

If you coming to Manipal this is the closest big fish market available. All variety of fish and prices are reasonable, as In any public market, you can negotiate too. And best of all it’s fully run by WOMEN. And you can get your purchases cleaned and cut for a nominal price too. So if you happened to stay for longer period in this area, then here is the place for you.

Very Organised for selling fish functionally. You have to drive a hard bargain to get what you want. There are all types of fish sold here, seasonal in most cases. And it doesn't stink as much as traditional fish markets. You will appreciate the setup and the hygiene maintained. But parking is an issue - if you can sort that out you're good. Happy Fishing !!!!

Central Udupi fish Market. Best collection of fish. Udupi market is best part if about getting different varieties of fish at reasonable price . Best timing will be 10 am for fresh fish . But if you want better negotiation it will be after 12.15 pm . You get it for right price . Some fish sellers to visit for fresh fish - Yashoda , Bharati and Sheela
