Cafe 7 Bees, Udupi — Restaurant in Karnataka

This review is in reference to the location in Udupi opposite to the Church.I am very disappointed in this place. I have visited many cafes but have never seen so unhygienic as this one. I visited this place after reading the review about the friendly behaviour of the cafe. Firstly the cafe is too tiny and the tables are too small to even keep two glasses and a pizza plate and it was evening time so the service was slow. So I visited the cafe with younger cousins on a Friday. We ordered a blue lagoon and a coke float. The blue lagoon was rather a lot of ice and very less of juice whereas the coke float was a little ice cream and a lot of coke. Let's come on to the food we ordered two pizzas; one was veg Mexican pizza and other was a Manchurian pizza. So Mexican pizza is little of veggies with sprinkles of cheese on flatbread. The Manchurian pizza is a disappointment on another level it had exactly 5 pieces of Manchurian balls on cheese pizza. That's not the end of the disappointment here, I opened the oregano bottle to sprinkle some on my pizza but guess what I found tiny little insects coming out of it. To my horror, I was baffled. To not create a scene I quietly went to the counter and gave the fellow the bottle and told him. He gave me another bottle of oregano and it was the same as before with small cockroaches coming out of it, three bottles of oregano with the same situation, I really wonder how do you keep your other food items. At least check your food for basic sanitation. I wanted to get out of the place but my younger cousin insisted on ice cream, with the clutter of plates and glasses on our plate; the waiter just dumped our ice cream in that mess. I asked him to clear out the mess and get me my bill at the earliest. For 2 pizza which was probably 4 inches, 3 drinks and 1 brownie ice cream. The bill was Rs.750. The price of the drink and ice cream is still fine but the pizza with just bland taste was priced at Rs. 150 and Rs.190 respectively. I wouldn't have minded to pay the price if the quality of the food was good, forget quantity at least try to work on your quality. At least try to be a little apologetic if someone finds insects in their food, it is your responsibility to keep the food decent enough...

It's quite good place to have go for a quick evening snacks or hangout with friends. It's my go to place whenever I am looking for quick snack or dinner at affordable price. Cafe serves only veg food. Has varieties of pizza , burgers , grilled and non grilled sandwich , deserts , beverages etc.

Rates quite reasonable when compared to price and ambience. Ambiece good.

Staff friendly and quick. We had ordered Paneer tikka cheese burger , pesto pasta , and mushroom pizza.Burger was tasty.Pizza was good.Pesto pasta taste was not good.The taste of garlic was missing, the taste of basil was more predominant , it was on very bitter side.Also I did not feel the taste of cheese added to it as in traditional pesto pasta.Also the pesto sause was not into a smooth consistency. I recently tried their cutlets: crispy on outside soft inside, INR 45, good for light meal.Served with chutney and tomato ketchup.Although this time it was way to sweet compared to the last time.Rating 4/5. I also had Punjabi samosa(mini 4 nos) served with chutney and tomato sauce, INR 50.Taste was ok , not upto the mark, but craving samosa can have it.Rating 3/5. I also had Hariyali Paneer tikka burger served with 5 friench fries.Taste was really good.Had thon slice of paneer dipped in besan green coloured batter with crispy patty.Tasted good.INR 100.Rating 4.5/5. We also ordered Mushroom Cheese burger served 5 French fries.It had undercooked Mushroom so spoiled the taste with mild manchurian flavor and sweet tinge so probably did go well with their standard patty, Cheese was also not melted so I felt bit raw.INR 100...

Are you tight on budget, but still you want to have some satisfying food. This is your best bet.

I have been going to this café since many years. And During my college days i used to come here almost everyday.

And who says veg cuisine isn't tasty. Get them to café 7 bees.

Ambience is really good. You do feel comfortable inside.

What i like most about this café is the service they provide. Staff first come with glass of water when you make yourself comfortable. And they keep ketchup bottle and tissue box on the side of the table. I see this kind of service rarely in other cafés. They still are the same like how they were. Other cafés are just looking to make money by not giving water so that they get orders from their beverages menu.

Price is pocket friendly .
