Although newly opened and still relatively fresh from its launch, what attracted me about this place was the menu which has multiple asian cuisines starting from Tibetan and culminating in Japanese. All those cuisines had their own story to sell. They have created quite an asian atmosphere and interesting wall arts with Japanese inspired colourful wall hanging lights.
We started the proceedings with Tibetan Thukpa..which for me is a nostalgic dish from my himalayan work days. This one came in a non veg dumpling version. Whilst I would have opted for a straight meat thukpa if available, it still proved to be worthy with authentic flavours. Then came the momos of which the dynamite version was something out of the ordinary. From the main course..we went for the coveted pad thai...singapore rice with chicken & mandarin sweet & sour fish and all of them came out pretty good.
We did order some namesake desserts which I felt were average at the most. The hospitality was warm but I was not very happy with the washroom setup which is a bit detached and is still under development i reckon. Overall, the place is worth for the variety of food they serve. They could slightly amp up on the dessert side and get their washroom done to...
Read moreLantern Chilli and Peanut Fish was the best dish. It was savory with a nice tangy and pungent flavour for the basa fish with the crunchy peanuts to balance it out. New York Cheese and Chilli Dim Sum was also a mouthful of flavours-The rich and slightly sour cream cheese with the crispy chilli oil was such a beautiful contrasting flavour. Mongolian Chicken with Asparagus & Sticky Fried Rice was the most filling dish, the rice was rich and the five spice flavoured chicken slices were large, didn't quite notice the asparagus though. Pad Thai Chicken Noodles was also good, the noodles had a chewy texture which went well with the gravy , it was loaded with broccoli and zucchini. There was also peanuts and egg. The dessert-Taiwanese Fried Ice Cream was a letdown, the coating had a bit of a raw taste and the ice cream was completely melted. They should look into it and provide good quality ice cream as it wasn't even cold. Ambience was nice with themes matching the four cuisines, with a black and white 2D...
Read moreWe went to hoy Momo today and i was very satisfied with the experience. As someone who was trying japanese or pan asian cusine (other than chinese) for the first time I was sceptical, but it turned out really well and i would love to visit again to try more dishes. We had the chicken Bao it was really good soft and the filling was so flavourfull with 3 sauses, 2 of which tasted like schezwan chutney. Then we asked the waiter for ramen suggestion and he suggested us the Tonkatsu ramen which i would suggest for any first timers as well. It was simple not too complicated flavours and we had a sex on the beach drink which was decent and refreshing. To anybody visiting, chicken bao is a must try the rest you can experiment with. The only negative i would say about the restaurant was the washrom, not very clean and a common washroom setup. Other than that it was an amazing experience for the food...
