Extremely Disappointing Dining Experience - Avoid at All Costs!
I recently had the misfortune of dining at Le Delice on Kollam Beach Road, and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From start to finish, everything went downhill, leaving me utterly disappointed and frustrated.
First and foremost, the service was atrocious. The staff seemed completely untrained and indifferent to the customers' needs. When I raised concerns about the quality of the thread porotta, instead of addressing the issue, they simply shrugged it off with a nonchalant "OK" and left me dissatisfied. It was evident that either the porotta was poorly made or, even worse, a reheated one. Is this the level of culinary expertise and care they offer in a restaurant that charges a premium? It's absolutely unacceptable!
Furthermore, the management's response was nothing short of appalling. The manager, claiming to be new and clueless, admitted there were issues but failed to take any ownership or rectify the situation. How can a restaurant operate efficiently when even the manager has no idea how things work? It's clear that customer feedback and experience hold no value to them.
To make matters worse, I was served the main course before the starters. Their excuse? The food got ready, so they decided to serve it. This lack of organization and disregard for proper dining etiquette is simply unforgivable.
As if all of this wasn't enough, they had the audacity to charge extra for a requested side of mayo. In any respectable establishment, providing extra condiments to enhance the dining experience should be a basic courtesy, not an opportunity for additional profit.
It's disheartening to note that Le Delice lacks Malayalam-speaking staff, further adding to the disconnect between the customers and the establishment. A restaurant aiming to provide a premium experience should ensure effective communication and understanding of their clientele.
I strongly urge everyone to avoid Le Delice at all costs. They may occasionally get online deliveries right, but their dine-in experience is a complete disaster. This restaurant fails to deliver on its promises of quality food, service, and overall customer satisfaction. Don't make the same mistake I did by wasting your time and money on an establishment that clearly does not value its patrons.
Let this review serve as a warning to others, and may it encourage Le Delice to reflect on their shortcomings and make drastic improvements to redeem themselves. There are far better dining options available in the area, and I urge you to explore...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Le Delice restaurant with my family, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant until the very last bite, everything exceeded our expectations.
The first thing that struck us was the delightful array of dishes on the menu. After careful consideration, we decided to indulge in the Chattiperattu String Paratha, Chicken Darbari, Crispy Chicken Burger, and the creamy chicken steak. And boy, were we in for a treat! Both dishes were bursting with flavors that delighted our taste buds. The Chattiperattu had a perfect balance of spices and accompaniments, and the creamy chicken steak was cooked to perfection, with a tender and juicy texture that left us wanting more.
Speaking of portions, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous serving sizes. It's always satisfying to have a meal that not only tastes great but also leaves you feeling fully satisfied. Le Delice certainly knows how to cater to its patrons' appetites, and we left with contented smiles on our faces.
One aspect that truly stood out during our visit was the excellent service provided by the restaurant staff. A special mention goes to Mr. Rajneesh, the restaurant manager. His attentiveness and professionalism were commendable. He ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued as customers. Mr. Rajneesh and his team truly made a difference, and their dedication to exceptional service did not go unnoticed.
The overall ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere for our family gathering. The staff's friendly demeanor and the attention to detail in the restaurant's decor added an extra touch of charm to our dining experience.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Le Delice to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. The Chattiperattu and creamy chicken steak were outstanding in taste and texture, and the portion sizes were more than satisfying. The attentive service, especially by Mr. Rajneesh, further enhanced our visit and left us with lasting impressions. Le Delice truly excels in providing a delightful culinary journey, and we look forward to...
Read moreHave had food here a total of 3 times now. The first 2 experiences were brilliant, so took my extended family to dinner here a couple of days ago. The order and specific feedback back on food is as below: Alfaham mandi - average, but this was anyway not expected to be good and ordered based on a craving my brother had for this. Fish mappas and idiyappam- people who ordered it from the group found it has too much of the fish smell for them to eat; idiyappam was cold Chicken dynamite and spring rolls - both were good Cream of brocolli soup, sweet corn chicken soup and lemon coriander chicken soup - all equally good Chicken quesadillas - great choice this one Chicken arrabiata penne pasta - honestly this thing had a sauce which was way too spicy and tasted like it originated in Karaikudi rather than Italy - not a good choice. This was surprising as the white sauce and pesto ones we've ordered before were brilliant The PothuDryFry was way too dry to be consumed without maybe soaking it in something - not recommended. Chicken chowmein tasted pre-made and reheated with a smoky taste. All in all food was strictly average this time.
Atmosphere was terrible - we were made to sit in a separate room which is not visible to waiters and the servers were not visible to us. AC was too strong and in my face and the music was too loud with 90s english slow pop killing us softly and loudly... Service was below average as well-waiters haphazardly bringing starters and main courses...
