Rasa Leela — Restaurant in Kerala

Had a bad experience here yesterday. First off, even though there were seats available in the AC room, we weren't allowed to sit there and we were told it was reserved, although nobody occupied those tables for the rest of the evening. Second, we were given seats near the water, with a horde of mosquitoes. There doesn't seem to be any control on the mosquito breeding there. Thirdly, we ordered tomato shorba. What we were given was luke warm, with an overloaded masala flavour, which was thick and just not what tomato shorba should taste or look like. Fourth, we ordered gobi manchurian. I specifically asked for less spicy and crispy. But what we were given was not hot, was soggy and loaded with crushed pepper. It was in all, a huge disappointment. We sent it back and skipped main course all together and went to another restaurant instead. The restaurant staff too is not attentive, is lacking in professionalism and needs training. The manager was apologetic but our evening was ruined...

We selected 2 pear spot, and one more big fish. Pearl spot for tawa grill and one for pollichathu ( wrapped in banana leaf with Masala and thick gravy). One fish for curry. Appam and Kerala porotta to go with it. Waiting time was around 1/2 hour or bit more. Fish finger for starter. Pearl spot pollichathu was good. Fresh fish. Freshly prepared. Curry and tawa grill was acceptable also. The fish we selected for curry wasn’t very great. Fish finger was savoured to the bit. Over all experience was good. Taste wise I would say just above avarage. I would say over priced but if you like freshly prepared fish and don’t mind spending more cash this could be the...

It was for a special dinner with two families. Had asked for a reserved room inside restaurant. The food, the whole service we received was exceptionally good. 🤩 Renai is always known for excellent Grooming of staff and awesome food.
