I recently visited this Punjabi restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing despite the good ambiance.
The place itself is nicely decorated, with warm lighting and a pleasant Punjabi-themed interior. It gives you the feeling that you’re about to have a hearty and authentic meal. Sadly, everything else fell apart because of the poor customer service.
When we arrived, we were seated quickly, but that was the last time anyone paid attention to us for a while. We sat for 30 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. There was no greeting, no menu explanation, and not even a glass of water offered while we waited. I had to call a staff member to finally place our order.
After ordering, we waited another 30 minutes — and still, no food arrived. I tried to get the attention of the waiters, but they seemed too busy chatting among themselves or walking past without acknowledging us. It felt like the customers were the least of their priorities.
What was most frustrating was that there was no apology, no update on our food, and no effort to make us feel taken care of. In a restaurant, mistakes or delays can happen, but good service is about how you handle them — and here, they simply didn’t care.
Eventually, we decided to leave without eating because the experience had already been ruined.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously because the ambiance and concept have potential, but without improving the service and training the staff to value their customers’ time, even the best food won’t make up for this kind of treatment.
Definitely not recommending until they fix their...
Read moreWe work in kochi Airport and due to long craving for north India food we decided to visit sethi Da dhaba. We called them and after conformation we started from Airport. On the way due to trafic we called them again and conformed them that we will be reaching slightly late due to trafic and they told us no problem please come we will manage even though last order time is 1515. We reached at around 1430. Immediately we finalized our order and told them. Food was on table at around 1518hrs. Food was very good specially Makke ki roti and sarso ka saag. Environment was truly Punjabi and music was like we are in Punjab. We were enjoying every moments and food. We can feel staff were slightly in hurry and they wanted us to finish our food early. We also felt they may be hungry hence we started to finish our food slightly faster. But now suddenly AC stopped and most of staff went inside staff room/kitchen. I felt may be electricity problem but it was not. Only AC near to our table was put off and other AC on other side of restaurant was working. We were only last customer and they wanted us to leave restaurant asap. This is not correct and not acceptable. You could have told us on call itself that they will close by 1530. My bill was around 7000/- as we were in group of 7 people but we all felt that behavior of staff spoiled our enjoyment. Even they could have requested us to finish fast but putting AC off was not good. Food and Environment was good but no respect for customer. We all will not visit again and definitely forward this information to all our...

It has been almost ten years since we first visited Sethi Da Dhaba to taste Punjabi food, and I still carry those memories with me. Back then, the large glass of creamy lassi they served left an unforgettable impression. When I visited again recently, that very taste brought back waves of nostalgia. Of course, over the years, I did notice a few minor changes here and there, but in terms of flavor and quality, the restaurant has managed to maintain its standards beautifully.
That being said, I sincerely hope they continue to improve and refine even further, as a place with such a strong legacy truly deserves to keep evolving and delighting...
