Sijis Pizza Street — Restaurant in Kerala

The service around here just horrible. As in, even the most paavam person amongst us, who is usually forgiving when it comes to service, described the service as horrible. In fact, the one star I have given is solely due to the fact that they served food. However, all accounts leading to the food is just not anywhere up to the mark.

Firstly, they didnt serve us water. We asked for water, but the server did not seem too bothered that there was not a single glass on the table. Thereafter, the server brought us plates. The plates had a horrible stench -- you did not even have to go near the plate for the stench to hit your nose. We pointed out the same to the server, and the server took away the plates after a while. Another set of plates were brought out, but even that had stench. One of my friends decided not to use the plate because of the stench.

Soon, the pizza was served. Strangely, however, there were no cutlery, or tissues. We asked for tissues, but nevertheless began to eat without water, tissue, or cutlery. Upon reaching the last slice, the server appears and remembers that he hasnt brought us water. He apologises, and brings us water in glasses meant for juices -- without any straws, of course. However, the server had the grace to sheepishly apologize.

At this point, we had asked for tissue at least twice -- despite how the servers never paid us any attention. Finally, some tissues were brought to us, but we had already made peace with the messy eating experience. Soon thereafter, though we have not finished, the server decided that compensation was due for the poor service yet far. So he asks: "shall i get the bill?"

And behold! even before we were done, he raises the invoice.

Quite awful...

During my visit to ernakulam on a staycation from thalassery, we wanted to try some Arabic food. So to know the best restaurant I ringed my cousin to enlighten us. As we wanted to have Arabic cuisine, he suggested few Arabic restaurants, but insisted on trying Siji's Pizza as him and family were frequent customers of the Outlet.

Now in Thalassery we have very limited choice of Pizza's and we were not very much interested. But as he suggested so much, we decided to try.

On the way to the restaurant we went through few reviews which were -ve and after reading the same we were a bit skeptical to go there. But my cousin insisted.

So finally we reached the Outlet and it was not the same as in reviews that we read. We ordered 22" consisting of "White Town, Hulk, Africano & Big Boss"

My review : Ambience is good with ample seating & good service. The Pizza's were amazing, superb and very tasty. Infact it was the best pizza we had in years. This is one of the must try place in Ernakulam. The Pizza's should be tried hot from the Outlet itself and not takeaways.

Due to the negative comments we were supposed to look for another restaurant. But thanks to my cousin for pressuring us to try the outlet😊.

Belive me we would have surely missed this great pizza if we were to go with the review. For us Siji's is a 10 on 10 Pizzeria. We will surely visit again when...

Updated (8/12/21) We recently had an issue with our order and pickup from their outlet which we highlighted to them through Insta DM. To our surprise and as they promised we received a call from their GM Mr. Vidhun enquiring about our concern. He was very much customer support oriented, assured to clear our concern and apologized for the issues we had faced. This gesture, customer support is praise worthy (First time experience in india) Siji's, you guys rock and for us you will always be the first preference for Pizza and ya the Pizza Street (first time order) was very much filling and 😋

It's Pizaa time. So I don't try much of Pizzazz as not a big fan of Domino's or Pizza Hut. My all time favorite was nd is Spicy Chicken Ranch from Papa John's. 😋 🍕 from outlets that sell only Pizza will always have true taste to it. Sijis one among them. Had tried many times from this place and never felt a complaint. Mostly we order the same few flavours and dis time for a change we order Cheesy Chicken with regular Super Mario (we were warned the cheesy wouldn't taste as great as Domino's 😂) but both were yummy. At time I do feel it as bit pricy but hey the pizza do satisfy 4 tummy's😊 My kids are a great fan and would be trying something different next time. And ya being a regular customer the management was very much helpful and customer friendly. Keep up...
