My recent dining experience at Tajine Rice and Grill in Thrissur was an absolute delight! This restaurant offers an exquisite taste of North African and Middle Eastern cuisine, and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience.

Upon entering, I was greeted by the tantalizing aroma of exotic spices, and the warm ambiance instantly transported me to the heart of an Arabic oasis. The decor, reminiscent of a Moroccan riad, added an air of authenticity, making the dining experience all the more enchanting.

For my meal, I opted for the Full Meat Plate, which included a succulent Shawarma, tender grilled meats, and a generous serving of Arabic rice. Happened to visit UB grills at St. Thomas day yesterday evening, along with 2 others. The moment we sat down the boy who served there told us that shawarma will take 30 minutes; I told him then we will take BBQ and he said that will also take 20 mins. And whatever u order will take time. My friend told him that he is literally starving and whether there’s anything that we can get fast, meanwhile placing order for shawarma and BBQ. He said the mojito is the only choice we have. So we ordered for 3 fresh lime juice as well. Being accustomed their serving pattern, we asked whether the salad can be given fast and after 5 mins we were given a small portion of salad. After a while when the salad got over, we asked whether it can be refilled(which they usually do in their other outlets and the previous occasions when we dined there), he said ok and weren’t given for quite a long time. Further being asked 3-4 times, I told him if u have no plans of giving, please say so. To this he said, this salad can’t be given 2-3 times like that. U wait, i will give it with the food. And then I asked him why he dint mention the first time I asked him.. and gauging my expressions he understood that he had overstepped.. and he said I will give in such a way that he was giving alms to someone.

We asked for the owner to discuss our woes, he wasn’t available and we mentioned it to the manager. He said he has no clue as to why the boy had an issue with serving the salad. And he was also informed that we received all the food after 40 mins and the juice which was assured to be served soon was not even served!

So to whomever concerned and in charge, we , customers don’t mind paying for the salad you serve if that’s the issue and to please communicate with your staff regarding your working and serving protocol. A proper training on serving and basic etiquette for the staff can take you a long way given the fact that you serve good food in town. Because unknowingly you might be loosing out on...

I had a horrendous experience at this restaurant. First off, they served us the wrong food, completely their mistake. The staff's attitude was appalling, adding insult to injury. On top of that, we had to endure an excruciatingly long waiting time. And to make matters worse, the food tasted absolutely horrible.

As loyal customers for many years, we kept returning to this establishment, despite occasional hiccups. However, after this disastrous experience of being served the wrong food, enduring the staff's terrible attitude, suffering through a long waiting time, and being served food of horrible taste, we can no longer justify patronizing this restaurant. It's disheartening to say that you have lost a couple of faithful customers. If they were understaffed and had long waiting periods, they should have at least put their restaurant offline for a bit and refrained from accepting more online orders when customers outside were waiting for a really long time.
